Best way to make $$$$$?

Hi,
Just wondering what do you think is the best way to make $$$.
Putting large amount on 1 SU win or spreading out the money over a series of SU wins.
Or maybe Spread betting, again all on one game or spread out?
Also what experiences have you had with parlays?

parlays are mostly for new people and very hard to hit (so the high pay out). i bet a straight amount on most but if i feel good about a play i will go with more. but it is all about how much you can aford to loose in a given time span.

The spread in pro football comes into play less than 8% of the time overall. If you can't beat the spreads chances are you won't be able to win straight up at a % high enough to even break even on ML's.

If you make 10 bets for the day you have to hit 6 for 10 to make a little money. So in other words you have to hit 60% of your plays.

If you made a 100 bets in a day you would have to hit 53 of your bets to make a little money. Here is the main difference though..........

With 10 you have to hit 60%
with 100 bets you can hit 53% 54%, 55%, 56%, 57%, 58%, 59%, 60%

I you bet 100 per game with the 10 games........
(you win) 600 - (your loss) 440= $160 profit at 60%

Same 100 a game with 100 games..........
(you win) 6000 - 4400=$1600 profit at 60%

Now to try to maintain 60% at betting is next to impossible so with more bets the better your chances are at making money. You can see in the 100 bets you can lose more games and still be profitable where as in the ten bets you lose just one extra game and your paying the man.

If you make a thousands bets it allows you to hit a lower % and still win money or make more money if you hit more games. Instead of just 53% 54% 55% and so on with a thousand you can hit 53.7% or 54.7%.................

Now everyone says well isn't harder to pick that many games? Well the truth of the matter is you could probably pick arround 50% by throwing darts at a sheet and going with the picks so if you know anything at all about the plays you should be able to hit around 55% or more and greatly reduce your risk. It's not a glamorous way to make money but that is the way to do it when betting to make money.

I try to pick out between 5-10 games for both NCAA and PRO's once the lines come out. Then during the week I monitor the line movement, see where the money's going, read the local papers and study the stat's.

Once I get a good feel I try to narrow down those plays to my best 5-7. Some times I go on gut, but most of the time stat's don't lie.

If you check some of my other posts I don't like to lay the money until right before kick-off cause that's when the line changes the most.

I've been pretty successful over the years using this, but the only thing you need with this is patience and not to bet past those games your looking at.

well one thing i find profitable is to start with the noon est games on saturday and work my way up throughout the day. i break down the schedule for saturday on saturday of the previous week and check out the teams i like for the following week. if you have a system for money mgt thats more key than anything because its such a long and demanding year of wagering. find an odd number of gms to play because if you play 3 gms and two hit you are up minus the juice and so on. never get ahead of your self and unlike many people never be afraid to parlay or tease your plays. this is hazardous to your bankroll but it gets you ahead if you play them once in a while but for less money than str8 up bets. if you cap games yourself then you should have a system from which to monitor and stick by. i am having a great cfb yr but sundays are sucking ass big time but i limit my plays on sunday until i can find the flaw i am dealing with. when you get to a point where you can be disciplined with a system then you may be able to guage how much you may be able to bump a unit or two up on one particular gm but for me i find playing 1*unit plays th best way to go. many people have * ratings and bet them accordingly to the strength of their choice but for me i think if you are going to be in this for the long haul especially when nba cbb cfb and nfl all cross paths you have to be in control or you will find yourself in a hole looking at saddam.lol
