where the hell do you come off calling this a swiss cheese defense? They have only given up 1 defensive TD all year and they are averaging 6.5 pts per game given up on "D". Why all the hate towards the Canes. Is it because LSU is out of the SEC championship race after being pounded 45-16 by a Georgia team that averages scoring 20 pts a game. COAGS, I don't like to be argumentative...so no disrespect intended, but I think both teams have questionable schedules thus far. Miami has beaten Fla St, who is not very impressive this year IMHO, especially after having watched them struggle against a pathetic Syracuse team. Louisiana Tech and Houston....blah. And a very inconsistent Ga Tech team who beat Maryland and a crappy Clemson team, but lost to North Carolina, who again, is not very impressive.

I don't know if the Ville wins straight up, but they have a very impressive offense and a good defense. The Ville will be fired up to make a statement on national tv. I think its well within reason to think this game will not be a blowout by any stretch of the imagination. The Ville faired very well in this same situation against Fl. St. a few years ago....albeit at home.

There is also no need to descibe a conversation where people disagree with you as being "retarded." This board is to share info and opinions....that is not retarded...that is the point of this forum. You call this retarded...and, in essence, you are calling the purpose of this board retarded....

I've tried to look at arguments from both sides, yes Louisville hasn't played much of anybody this year but Miami hasn't played the toughest comp. either. I believe this game come down to athletes on the field. Miami has NFL talent ALL over the field, Louisville doesn't. I truly believe UL will not be able to run the ball and will have to pass to stay in the game. Miami's def. will cause TO's and score 14pts. This game will not be a blowout but I just can't see UL winning this game. I'm not taking either UM or UL in this game as I will be taking the OVER for 2 units. Wanna enjoy this one and see ALOT of points scored!!!

Yea let's not forget that Houston threw the ball up and down the field on Miami Almighty Defence, Louisville will score when they get in the red zone and not turn the ball over or kick FG's like Houston did!!! although I won't share my oppinion of LSU like other folks I believe what you need to look at here is actual stats, that is what we do in here right. Favortism and hostility lead to empty bank accounts.Loui-ville has played Army (117th in defense), North Carolina (112th) and East Carolina (115th) have four of the worst defenses in college football. Miami's defense is more than fantastic ranking second in the nation in total defense and first in scoring D allowing 216 yards and 6.5 points per game. The only problem Miami has is its inconsistant offense. there scoring opps usually come from good defensive stands or outstanding sp teams. I think that this will be a close game but a little to much d for the birds to handle as far as a straight up win goes but I do believe that the cards will cover. as this is my team I will not play it however.

I agree with you, Nick, that this is the best team that Miami has played all year. I don't think anyone can dispute that. FSU is inconsistent and sloppy, ESPECIALLY with Rix at the helm. I think we are in for a great game tonight and in no way will Louis lay down. I think the Orange Bowl has an effect on the game though.

Everyone's saying Louisville hasn't played anyone, but Miami really hasn't either. Yeah they played FSU at home, but Chris Rix has NEVER beaten Miami. In five tries. Even Houston covered. I don't think this game will be a blowout by any means. We'll see tonight I guess.
