i have to say that clemson's O has to be one of the worst in the nation they just leave thier D on the field for 3/4 of the game. i also have to say that Whitehurst is one of the worst QB's. Clemson has to find a new QB if they plan to have a winning season. Whitehurst tries to put the ball into spots i should not be and if he has an open WR he can not hit them if his life depended on in.

:puke: =clemson o

Yeah... Clemson is not that good.... BUT... UVA has one of the best defenses in the nation.... even without future NFL stud Chris Canty.... Virginia's LB's are second to none...

Skins,

I'm not a VA fan but will venture to say at this point, they are by far the most impressive team in the nation...........BAR NONE

It'll be interesting to see how well VA performs against FSU's DL next week @FSU.

Go 'Noles. :bbang:

I agree.... although, I'm not caught up in all the hype that alot of VA fans are.... I still am not sure if UVa is ready yet..... IMO, all they need to do is play a good game against FSU, Keep it close, and have a shot....same with Miami at home... if UVA can keep it within 1 TD with each of these teams, and win the rest of their schedule.... it will be a succesful year.... the recruits will keep pooring in.... and then watch out in two years....

Skins, I didn't realize VA's head coach had such an NFL background. Just as they pointed out, that surely will help bring in the recruits!

It has helped so far.... LB Ahmad Brooks (#34) is highly regarded... some consider him to be one of the best LBs in the nation, and he is only a sophemore.... he went to my high school (about 7 years behind me)... Watched him play for two straight seasons.... UNBELIEVABLE in high school... played LB, RB, and WR.... no one could stop him.... won two straight state championships.... was recruited by all the east coast big boys (FSU, Florida, Miami, etc....).... could not believe it when he chose UVA....

Just curious how you could make a statement like that. Virginia has looked good so far, but who have they really played? Did watch lasts weeks Auburn-Tennessee game. Now that was impressive. Auburn goes into the Vols house and disrespects them the way they did. They owned them from start to finish.

I am sorry guys but a QB that's about 2 feet tall will not fair well against a real defense.. The only reason they will have a chance against the Miami shit for brains and the FLA seamonholes is the fact that have have two QB's suck right now.. I really can't stand either of the FLA teams but virg needs to prove a bit more to get the props IMO.... BOL to all...

It does not matter "Who they have played", its all about the BCS bro, and I like VA's chances better than Auburn and USC........

Who has Auburn played? A Tenn. team that is overrated every year and an LSU team that has no "O" that AU struggled to beat. Who has VA. struggled to beat?????????? Like I said, I'm NOT VA. fan but, once again they have looked the most impressive to me so far. Why is USC ranked no.1, who the fuck have they played????????????????

I don't recall saying USC looked impressive, that will be determined this saturday. All I asked was how you could say UVA has been the most impresive team this year? I'm not saying their a shitty team. Their good on both sides of the ball and should make some noise, but any of the top 25 teams would look impressive if they had their schedule thus far.

Now Auburn on the other hand has played 2 of the top 25 teams this year and came out on top. You say that Tenn is overrated and LSU has no O but I guaratee they would look impressive against UVA's cupcake schedule, and I'm not sure UVA could beat both those teams. I just can't buy into the hype until I see them tested.

Let's see what UVA does against Florida St and Miami. Should be interesting when they play a team that can challenge them.

Hey said... you dont think short QB's can perform in College football? Well being a Tech fan, I've got 2 words for you. Joe Hamilton.

And UVA's qb reminds me way to much of him.

I don't think the answer is in yet on Virginia because they still haven't played a good team yet. I wasn't overly impressed watching them against Clemson. Top 10? Clemson had them in third and long most of the night, and that's WITH a tired defense constantly on the field. Have to give them credit for breaking away, covering the spread, but I don't see them anywhere near USC or Cal or the other top notch teams.

I agree with War Dogs. We are not that good as much as I hate to admit it. We are pulling an Auburn of last season. All the preseason hype and then laying an egg on the field. UVa is good I will say that, however they have still yet to face a good running game so we will find out next week how good they are.

Hey said, why all hate? Who do you follow? You are from Michigan, is that who you follow? Another hater of a program that you nothing about. You need to give Virginia their props. You can only beat who you play. Even if you win ugly, you still win. I bet Michigan would have loved to win ugly when they lost to a not so good ND team.:puke: :flush:

Rjp, you know Chan Gailey is coaching the GT Yellowjackets but his recruiting hasn't been anyhting special by any means...
What I wanna know is (which may have been discussed) why Clemson did not go for it last night on 4th and short situation with a couple minutes to go in the game??

Not only does Clemson suck so does their coach Bumfuzzled Bowden. What the heck was he thinking late in the game when he had 4th & 1 at midfield wqth 3:30 to go and punted the ball back to Va. and then let them run out the clock without using 1 of his timeouts? Guess that assured his bet was covered!:puke:
Guess you know I was with the majority here on Clemnson +16
