Some strange and difficult matches on Monday. Playing a few but I would be lying if I told you that all these are good betting games. Many question marks surround these contests and IMO and the results can go either way. Still I'm going to take a crack at a few. Best of luck to everyone!!!!
October 4th
Barclay's English Premier League
Crystal Palace/Fullham Under 2.5 (-133) (W) (2 goals scored)
Tricky cause Palace's defense stinks right now. Fullham isn't a scoring power in the league but pretty much anyone in the EPL can get goals versus CP. Palace has managed to score a goal in all but one league game so far so that's what makes this Under a bit tricky. A final result of a 2-1 win for Fullham is quite possible but I'll take the shot that both these teams play for a result and keep it under the 2.5
English Conference League Cup
Altrincham (+120) Over Ashton United (L) (Ashton won 6-2)
3rd Place Altrincham heads to 17th place Ashton for this mathcup in the Conference Cup. Altrincham is a traditional home team as they've dominated the league at home. But on the road things haven't been that great in league play at 1-2-2. Ashton aren't lighting things up at home as they are just 2-3-1. Altrincham is the better squad and I believe they advance in this tourney despite being on the road. Hopefully it's in the 90 minutes and not in extra time.
English Carling Cup
Leicester City (-138) Over Preston North End (L) (Game tied 2-2)
These two just met the other day and tied 1-1. PNE managed to tie the game on a freak goal by there goalkeeper. Leicester manager is facing harsh criticism and is keen for a big showing in this match from his home side. Leicester and PNE will be w/o a player or two for this game. Leicester as a team that seems to be on an uptrend while PNE after a blistering start have really struggled lately on the road. Should be another tight affair here but I gotta give an edge to a determined Leicester side especially after a dissapointing draw this past weekend.
German Bundesliga II
Alemania Aachen (-175) Over Dynamo Dresden (W) (Aachen won 5-1)
This is one of those tricky encounters. Aachen sits in 9th place while Dynamo is in 18th place. Aachen has played a bunch of matches in the last two weeks as after last seasons good run in the German Cup they earned there place in this seasons UEFA Cup. Since there 5-1 win over Icelandic Champion Haf........(Not even going to try and spell it) things haven't been so great for Aachen as the increased matches seem to have tired them out. Aachen lost to Koln 3-2 after leading 2-0 at the half and then followed that up with another blown lead draw versus Erzgebirge. Aachen will be w/o there captain for this game but they still feature a pretty good squad. The reason for this game being a bit tricky is although Dynamo has had poor results this season it's been for the most part due to bad luck and not poor play. They've been the better team in almost every game but don't seem to get the results. Still despite that I believe Dynamo has only won 4 out of there last 20+ away matches and I don't see things getting any easier versus Aachen. Dynamo will be w/o two key players so I do believe Aachen should have a big enough home advantage in this game. I wouldn't recommend this game and I thought about putting a 1/2 unit on the draw but I'll stick with what I got as I believe Aachen is the stronger team and I look for a bounce back result as they are winless in there last 3 matches between the Bundesliga and UEFA Cup.
Good Luck to All!!!!

No luck whatsoever. Leicester had a man advantage and up a goal with 37 seconds left in the match when they fouled a PNE player inside the box to give him a penalty shot. Of course he scores the easy goal to send the match into Extra Time. UNBELIEVABLE:bang:

There might be a couple more tomorrow. Some league cup games I need more information on before i make any selections. For now I've just looked at the English Nationwide Conference. Best of luck to everyone!!!!
October 5th
English Nationwide Conference
York City (+200) Over Morecambe - 1/2 unit (L) (Morecambe won 2-1)
Morecambe/York City To Draw (+240) - 1/2 unit (L) (Morecambe won 2-1)
13th place York heads to 14th place Morecambe. Both teams are undefeated in there last 4 games with York winning there last two and Morecambe drawing there last two. Morecambe come into this game with alot of injuries to there team while York is fully healthy. York has been playing much better since the start of the game and I believe they've got a very good shot at winning the game. Just looking for a profit as I believe York walks away with at least a pt.
Gravesend (+250) Over Aldershot - 1/2 unit (L) (Aldershot won 1-0)
Aldershot/Gravesend To Draw (+225) - 1/2 unit (L) (Aldershot won 1-0)
3rd place Gravesend visits 5th place Aldershot. Once again looking to just gain a profit from this game. I believe Gravesend can walk away with at least a pt if not the full 3 pts. Gravesend are winners of 3 in a row and 7 of there last 9 while Aldershot have dropped 2 of there last 3 games. Both teams are having very good years. Gravesend is fully healthy while Aldershot have some squad problems for this game.
Accrington Stanley (-175) Over Tamworth (L) (Tamworth won 3-2)
6th place Accrington gets a visit from 19th place Tamworth. Accrington's manager has already stated this is an absolute must win game for the home side. Accrington has dropped there last two games which in turn had dropped them in the standings. After a decent start by Tamworth in which they were 1-1-2 in there first 4 games the last 7 have been extremely rough where they've only managed 1 draw while dropping 6 matches. Accrington do not have any major injury worries while Tamworth will be w/o a couple of starters for this meeting.
Carlisle United (-138) Over Leigh RMI (W) (Carlisle won 6-1)
2nd place Carlisle visits 20th place Leigh RMI. Carlisle is undefeated this season with 6 wins and 5 draws and are on a 4 game win streak at the moment. Leigh has had somewhat of an improvement of late with 2 draws and a win in there last 5 but that's all they've gotten in terms of production this season as they only managed one other draw on the season. Leigh manager has a full squad to choose from while Carlisle is banged up coming into this away game. Still Carlise is having a very good season and should win this game against a relegation candidate.
Hereford United (+110) Over Dag & Red (L) (D&G won 3-1)
4th place Hereford visits 15th place D&G. Hereford is on a bit of a roll at the moment and up until this past weekends 0-0 draw versus Burton they had been probably the best if not 2nd best squad in the league. Hereford are winners of 4 of last 5 and for the most part will almost have a full squad to choose from. D&G had a blazing start to the season but has since come crashing down. They've lost 5 of there last 7 but have improved of late with a weekend draw and a victory in the game before that. D&G will also be w/o a starter or two for this game. Looking for Hereford to bounce back from the draw this weekend. Last season Hereford won at D&G 9-0.
Woking (-225) Over Forest Green (L) (Forest Green won 1-0)
A little more then I would like to spend on a team like Woking since they aren't a goal scoring machine. But based on Forest Green's play I do like Woking to come up with a nice home win. 12th place Woking gets a visit from 22nd (last) place Forest Green. Forest Green have just 1 draw in 11 matches this season and have struggled mightily. They brought in a new head coach after the terrible start but things haven't really improved much. In terms of improvement after a rough start to the season for Woking they've won 2 of the last 3 including a weekend draw versus 1st place Barnet. Woking will be w/o there leading scorer amongst another possible 4 absences by other starters. But Forest Green will be w/o 3 key players for this game. Forest Green has a whopping -26 Goal Differential scoring just 8 goals while giving up 34. 4 of those 8 goals were scored in two games so they've only managed 4 goals in the other 9. Woking has yielded just 14 goals on the season and and just 7 in there last 9 games. There D should shut down a weak FG attack and Woking should be able to manage a couple of goals versus FG's poor defense.
Good Luck to All!!!!

FA Cup Qualifications - Replay
Hucknall Town (-275) Over Gresley Rovers (W) (Hucknall won 3-1)
This game is being replayed after the 2-2 draw between these two this past weekend at Gresley. Now this match is being held at Hucknall which gives them a very nice advantage. Hucknall plays in a league that is three divisions higher then Gresley. Hucknall is a midtable team while Gresley is fighting for promotion in there league. Only injury I've been able to find so far is that Gresley's starting keeper will be out for this match. Hucknall should be able to take full advantage of the home grounds for this game.
Good Luck to All!!!!

World Cup Qualifying
Brazil (-225) Over Venezuela
If you want a value play you can take a shot on the HT/FT play in this game which you can get at Even money at alot of books. Brazil will have Ronaldo for this game but do have doubts over a couple of players. Still there lineup should be clearly too strong for a Venezuela squad. Venezuela is now winless in there last 8 matches with 6 losses and 2 draws. Even though the game is in Venezuela and Brazil aren't the best of road teams I just think they posses a lineup that is clearly stronger then there counterparts. Brazil beat a Bolivian squad comfortably 3-1 as they lead 3-0 at the half where they cooled off there jets in the 2nd half. At this summer's Copa Americas Venezuela could only manage a 1-1 draw and were outplayed by Bolivia for most that match. Should be a Brazil victory in this one.
Good Luck to All!!!!

English Coca-Cola League II
Yeovil (AH -1/4) (-105) Over Rochdale - 2 units (L) (Rochdale won 2-1)
1st place Yeovil (6-2-3 W-L-D, GD- 21 GF and 14 GA) head to 19th place Rochdale (3-6-2, GD 9 GF and 15 GA). These two have met twice last season with Yeovil winning both as they won 3-1 at Rochdale and 1-0 at home. Yeovil is 3-1-2 over there last 6 while Rochdale is 1-3-2 in the same time frame. In terms of injuries Yeovil is losing one of there defenders but will get back the service of there captain defender and there leading scorer. Rochdale will only be missing one of there midfielders for this match. Yeovil is the odds on favorite to win the league and I don't see why they shouldn't get a win while visiting Rochdale in this encounter. They lead the league in goals at 21 and have played ok on the road while Rochdale has struggled at home. The 1/4 handicap makes me like it more cause I believe Yeovil will walk away with at least a draw which would return half the bet instead of losing the whole thing. This should be a Yeovil victory.
Good Luck to All!!!!

Corey - this is a bunch of bs. I tell you, I've never seen such a streak of shitty teams beating what should be much better teams. Keep the effort up!
Your picks help me hone in on games I am either playing one way or the other, or have missed completely.

Thanks Emericj...Yeah I haven't been a bad stretch like this in a while. I'm hoping Brazil gets me a win this evening otherwise that'll be a tough one to take. Got a big day planned for tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a big rebound. Laying some serious wood but I'm pretty confident in all. Shit I've been confident in all my pics of late and it hasn't helped. Due to break back soon. I'm going to start posting the plays in a little bit trying to finish them up now. Got a bunch of FA Trophy matches and World Cup qualifying matches.....Good Luck!!!!

I made a bunch of play for Saturday. Nothing strange coming from me but I truly like this card. It hasn't helped me much as I'm mirred in a BIG losing streak at the current moment and I can't catch a break. I'll need alot of breaks for me on Saturday as I am laying some serious lumber in the World Cup Qualifying. Will post those in a bit cause I'm going to provide some info's with those plays. For now I've got a bunch in the English FA Trophy. Any worse then 6-2 or 5-3 in these game will be a HUGE dissapointment. Best of luck to everyone!!!!
Here are two easy links for stat info on these teams. One provides all the English and Welsh tables while the other provides the league these teams are in. I also use team websites and league websites amongst other sources.

October 9th
World Cup Qualifying
Brasil (-225) Over Venezuela (W) (Brasil won 5-2)
Made this one thinking the game was yesterday. I provided some info before but I'll add to it now. Most importantly Ronaldo and Ronaldhino will play for Brazil so there attack should be at full tilt. Brasil has struggled on the road in there Qualfying campaign with a 1-0-3 record. Not bad but 3 draws is a bit disheartning. Venezuela is in a big downtred. They had alot of people on the bandwagon for this summers Copa America's but they failed miserably there. Venezuela has now lost 6 of there last 8 international matches with the other two being draws. Despite being on the road Brasil should win this one comfortably.
Sweden (-225) Over Hungary (W) (Sweden won 3-0)
An absolutely crucial home match for Sweden. At 1-1 in Group play they sit tied for 2nd with Hungary and Bulgaria. Sweden won at Malta 7-0 but suffered a frustrating 1-0 home loss to Croatia in there last game. Sweden will have one of there best possible lineups for this game. Anytime Ibrahimovic, Larsson, Ljungberg, Mellberg and Lucic are on the squad they must be considered favorites. For this game they are facing an improved Hungarian side. Hungary is boosted by the good play of a few club stars in Zoltan Gera, Gabor Kiraly and Imre Sczabics. So far in qualifying Hungary is also 1-1 as they beat Iceland 3-2 at home but lost 3-0 to Croatia on the road. Hungary has had some impressive wins this past year in friendlies as they beat Germany and Scotland 2-0 and 3-0 respectively on the road but they did also suffer some bad losses like a 3-0 beating by Romania, 4-1 loss to Brazil, 2-1 loss to China and another 2-1 loss to Wales. This is a must win game for Sweden and I expect them at there best for this crucial tie. Larsson and Ibrahimovic should be able to reek some havoc up front for the Swedes.
Iceland (-275) Over Malta (L) (Game tied 0-0)
Big price but pretty much no team should ever lose or draw versus Malta. Iceland is lead by Gudjhonsen (Chelsea) and Helguson (Can't remember which club he plays for). Iceland is 0-2 in qualifying as they lost to Bulgaria 3-1 at home and Hungary 3-2 on the road. Right before the WC Qualfying Iceland did manage a 2-0 shock win over Italy in preparation. Malta is 0-1 in Qualfying as they got hammered at home by Sweden 7-0 (4-0 at the half). Malta is one of the poorest soccer nations in Europe as there lone success comes against weak opponents such as Faroe Islands, Moldova and Estonia. In all matches this year Malta has been outscored 21-6. Even though Iceland is traveling to Malta they should beat this weaker team.
Cyprus (-250) Over Faroe Islands (L) (Game tied 2-2)
Once again another high price but in this match we've got a Cyprus team that's improving every match and a team that plays rather gritty at home. Cyprus team is made up primarily from there top club team APOEL Nicosia. APOEL played in the Champions League where they gave Czech champion Sparta Prague a tough two legs drawing 2-2 at home but losing 2-1 on the road. Cyprus is 0-2 in WCQ as they lost 3-0 to Ireland on the road and dropped a tough 2-1 game to Israel on the road. I can't really say much about Faroe Islands except they are one of the weakest soccer nations in Europe. They are winless on the road since 2001 which is now 11 matches. Last win on the road was against Luxemborg a team that is considered worse them them. So far Faroe is 0-2 in WCQ as they lost 6-0 on the road to Switzerland and lost 2-0 at home to France. The scoreline might flatter them in the France game but France has some serious problems at the moment and the score really should have been 5 or 6-0 as France blew many oppurtunities. Cyprus is fully expected to win games like these.
Belarus (-188) Over Moldova (W) (Belarus won 4-0)
Just to start this one these teams met three times recently with each team coming away with a 2-1 home win and Belarus won a 1-0 friendly at a neutral venue. But since Moldova's 2-1 home win back in 2003 Belarus has managed to turn things around in a big way. They are improving dramatically over the past year as there results show it. They beat Cyprus 2-0 on the road, Latvia 4-1 at home, Lithuania 1-0 at home and Turkey 2-1 on the road while losing 2-0 to Romania on the road. In WCQ they tied Norway 1-1 on the road in a very tough game to start the qualfying off. Solid way to start the campaign as it was a very good result for them. Moldova always seems to put up somewhat of a fight but doesn't really get the results. In WCQ they are 0-2 with a 1-0 home loss to Italy (once again scoreline flatters as Italy was missing alot of players and were also struggling mightily) and lost to Slovenia 3-0 on the road. Belarus is an improving nation and they should have a nice advantage at home as Moldova has always struggled in away matches.
Slovakia (-120) Over Latvia (W) (Slovakia won 4-1)
Even though Latvia appeared at this summer's Euro 2004 and were hailed as the possible Cinderella story things weren't as they appeared. Since losing to Kuwait back in 2003 i can't really find too many results that flatter Latvia. They are 3-6-3 in matches this year including Euro 2004. For this game Latvia will be missing there head coach as he was suspended for 5 games. In WCQ they are 1-1 as they lost to Portugal 2-0 on the road and squeeked by and when I mean squeeked by they barely beat one of the worst nations in Europe Luxemborg 4-3 on the road. they trailed most of the game and were fortunate to comeback and tie the game and then eventually go ahead. Slovakia has started off there WCQ campaign very nicely and are currently in first place in the group. They have played one more game them most of the Group but a win versus Latvia will put them in a solid position to at least battle Russia and Latvia for the #2 spot for qualifying. Slovakia is 2-0-1 as they beat Luxemborg 3-1 at home, Liechtenstein 7-0 at home and tied Russia 1-1 on the road. Slovakia is lead by Szilard Nemeth (Middlesborough), Karhan (Wolfsburg), Varga (Celtic) amongst a few other key club players. Latvia will be w/o one of there best players in striker Marian Pahars. This should be a nice battle cause this game does mean alot to group positioning but right now Slovakia is playing better soccer then Latvia and I'm going to go with the home team to slip by there counterparts.
F.Y.R. Macedonia (AH +1 1/2) (-114) Over Holland (W) (Game tied 2-2)
Simply going to take a shot with this one. I don't see Holland as such big favorites on the road. No RVN cause he suspended and they will be missing a few other starters. Still Holland posses a lineup that is clearly stronger then Macedonia. But Macedonia is a nation especially at home that manages to play with there teams and they don't get blown out that often. Holland is always overrated and never seem to play to expectations. So far Holland is 1-0 in WCQ as they beat the Czech Republic 2-0 at home in what was said to be a very good game. CR outplayed them until Holland scored there 1st goal and the game changed after that. Macedonia is 1-1 in WCQ as they beat Armenia 3-0 at home but lost a heart breaking game to Romania 2-1 on the road on a 86th minute goal. When i said Macedonia plays tough they only lost by 1 goal to England, Croatia, Turkey and Portugal all within the last 2 years. Just taking a shot.
Republic of Ireland (AH +1) (+105) Over France (W) (Game tied 0-0)
France just isn't the same right now and they are having problems under new head coach Domenech. No Trezeguet for the Frenchmen in this game which does mean they will have an electric duo up front in Cisse and Henry. Right now France are 1-0-1 in WCQ with a scoreless draw versus Israel at home and a 2-0 win at Faroe Islands. Right before qualifying France also struggled with B&H drawing 1-1 at home. Since Zidane and the other veteran players have left they've had a hard time meshing as a team. Ireland are 1-0-1 in WCQ with a 3-0 win over Cyprus at home and a 1-1 draw at Switzerland. I expect Ireland to defend alot during this match and although they don't have the speed in the backfield to hold down players like Henry and Cisse I still think they can manage a draw out of this game. With both Giggs and Duff in this game Ireland actually have a bit more International experienced players then France do. Interesting note for this one is that France fans are a bit down on there team and for this game they are playing in an 80,000 seat staduim but it will only be occupied by 50,000 French fans. Ireland is bringing and astounding 30,000 fans to this game which should give them a nice boost. France just isn't the same at the moment and Ireland could be in a nice spot to earn a draw in this match. If France win I don't think it will be by more then a goal but who knows this could be the game they finally gel. For me a nice price getting the goal.
Czech Republic (-175) Over Romania (W) (Czech Rep won 1-0)
Czech Republic/Romania Over 2.5 (-118) (L) (1 goal scored)
Two plays on this game. For the Over I expect a 2-1 or a 3-1 type game. Supposedly all hell as broken loose in the Czech Republic over there poor play of late. It's widely attributed to Nedved retiring from International soccer and the injury to Poborosky. Still I believe in this Czech squad cause they still posses some very good players in Baros, Koller, Rocisky, Galasek and Cech. The Czechs do need to come up with a win in this match. Romania is 3-0 in WCQ beating Finland 2-1 at home, Macedonia 2-1 at home and Andorra 5-1 on the road. Romania features a very good squad lead by Chelsea foward Muutu. Muutu hasn't played under Mourinho and has used the WCQ's as a showcase for his club boss. The Czech's have only played one game so far in WCQ and they lost to Holland 2-0 in what was a very even game on the road. Just an important match for the Czech Republic. They need to quiet the critics and they need to stop Romania cause a loss in this match could give Romania the inside track at the #2 spot.
England (-250) Over Wales (W) (England won 2-0)
What can you really say about this one. Just about one of the bigger rivalries out there. To me England just receives a HUGE boost with the arrivals of Rooney, Ferdinand and Campbell to there squad. England is 1-0-1 in WCQ and should be 2-0. They tied Austria 2-2 on the road and they beat Poland 2-1 on the road. Wales is a dissapointing 0-0-2 as they've faced two weaker teams in Azerbaijan and Northern Ireland drawing both 1-1 and 2-2. Wales does feature a good sqaud with the likes of Hartson, Davies, Speed, Giggs and Bellamy. England will be under immense pressure to win this one. They are considering using a 3 foward attack with Rooney, Owen and Defoe. But overall I really like the look of England's team. There weakness coming into this game was there defense but that has really been strengthned by Ferdinand and Campbell returning. With Beckam, Lampard, Wright-Phillips, and Butt anchoring the midfield this team looks very strong on paper. I just hope they can handle the pressure at home. Anything but a home win in this one might give Erikkson the boot from coaching this squad.
Slovenia/Italy Under 2.5 (-162) (W) (1 goal scored)
Sorry I've been typing for a while and I'm not going to really write much for this one. Italy has struggled scoring of late and are they are always know as a defensive nation. Slovenia will also try and defend cause they believe they can manage a low scoring draw in this game. I see a 1-0 Italy win or a 1-1 draw type game.
Good Luck to All!!!!

Man, I put together a 6 teamer parlay, and as it stands right now, Iceland is the last team I need for a 8:1 win - come on Iceland - 0-0 at minute 68!!!!

Well, it turns out Iceland is just as horrible as Malta. 0-0 game.
Now, I really think the fix is in in the Holland match. Holland takes a 1-0 lead, then 2 minutes later they allow the equalizer. Holland takes a 2-1 lead, and again, 2 minutes later, they allow the equalizer. Are you kidding me???!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Corey - you hit the Holland game. I'm still in disbelief that they gave up 2 leads!

Emericj - Iceland *#*#*#* sucks. That was a garbage result by them. Holland game was strange. Actually both goals of Holland were off terrible mistakes but the Macedonian keeper. Wish Holland had gotten that parlay for you I would have taken a 1 goal loss. Congrats on the FA Trophy matches. Looks like you made a nice profit.
dannyroy- Welcome to the Forum!!!!
Made a profit today but overall I'm not pleased. Iceland, Cyprus and a couple of the FA games really dissapointed me. I expected better.

Corey, I'm with you on Terrassa..I also jumped on Cadiz - +256 - long shot, but like the odds as Murcia are on the bottom of the table and seem to allow some goals.
Starting the day on a winning note - good job. Good luck with these next matches!
