Joe Gibbs, excuses excuses!!

Well the excuses are flying and Gibbs is using them all. He is complaining about 2 calls during the game. Blame the lose on 2 bad calls that always the easy way out. This guy may have been a good coach in his day but that was long ago. Its always easy to blame the refs rather some very questionable calls on offense. The Cowboys went in and totally out coached the Skins in their home park. Washington is living in the past if they think this coach will help out their team. Like I said in my Dallas play on Monday Night, What has this coach done lately??? The answer: they beat a horrible tampa bay team. As a matter of fact they are so bad they have not one win. The Giants beat them and so did the Cowboys so you can send the Redskins packing. I've heard for months how great it is going to be to have him back in Washington. Living in the past I tell you... Will he make the season and will he coach more then one year ?? That is the real question. They play a very poor team in Cleveland this coming week and if they lose that they can pack the season in. The excuse will be flying and they already are.. GL

Did he mention how ofton Gardner was pushing off and never once got called for it. Plain as day right in front of the ref. Did he mention that, well did he, I want to know. Love the hype they put on washington, should get us a few more wins this year if the odds makers don't change their ways.

Gibbs went on to say that the reason they lost was NOT because of the officiating, but because of mistakes on offense and poor clock management....

That being said, the officials sucked ass both ways.... it just so happened that the calls that went in the Cowboys favor resulted in a 14 point swing for Dallas....

Yadda Yadda Yah..... Gibbs went 0-5 his first season with the Redskins en route to win the next 8 of 11 games. The next year they went to the Super Bowl.
Out of all the teams in the NFL, the 'friggin Steelers with their 2-1 record sure as hell doesn't impress anymore. We play 'em in your house on Nov. 28 th so I've got that one circled already. I don't see how it irritates you so badly that we finally have a good coach again; maybe it just lessens that Steelers' chances of winning the Super Bowl again which hasn't happened in...uhhh...yep, over 23 years! Don't you worry your head about what we have going on - If you want to wager against 'em every play that's fine by me. Thing is if the Steelers start playing like shit and/or get bad call in a game I sure as hell don't want to hear whining nor am I gonna act like somebody and come blast your team on poor play if they lose - I have more class than that. Go worry about somebody else's team.

I have to agree with the skins fans, Steel...I'd expect a little more courtesy from a veteran member...you usually stick to football, so I'm a little at a loss for the ranting and raving about Gibbs...they guy had earned the right to get a free pass in his 1st year. He needs to see what he's got, and then go fix it....Parcells got killed his 1st year in New England, and now look at that franchise.

Skinsfan, this post of mine helps because it shows that the Redskins were over valued. I couuld give a rats ass who is afan of whos. Its you redskin fans who are taking it to heart. By the way, the only ass in here is you because I never once mentioned your name I was pointing out that Washington and their fans went NUTS when they knew Gibbs was coming back. The Redskins are WAY over valued and their is money to be made betting against them. The only ass is you because you assumed I was putting the Redskins down. Superskins actually went on to put down the Steelers which shows me he learned nothing from what I wrote. Sportdaddy sure did pick up on this though. You assumed I was putting the FANS down and never did I do that. Gibbs is a good coach but he is not showing that this season. Face the facts that the Redskins got TONS of hype and it was totally uncalled for. Gibbs is like a God to Redskins fans. I am just pointing out that they have been a rather good fade. Over valueing a team is not a good thing but it is if you are betting against them. The bottom line is the SCORE BOARD and it speaks volumes about where the Skins are headed. They have played a bunch of patsy's this season and they have only 1 win to show for it. Hey Redskin fan, I don't see your name anywhere in my thread so your comments were way out of line. Like you said about the Dallas game, the best team with the best coach will win and that is exactly what happened. If you read my posts last season you would know that I don't believe in Bill Cowher. I call a spade a spade and I think he has pissed away more opportunity's then most coaches get in a life time. You have started two threads where you mention you don't understand why the Redskins fans are happy about having a has been coach.... what does that have to do with handicapping? You didn't say that the oddsmakers are overvalueing Gibbs.... You didn't say that the betting population is overvalueing Gibbs.... you, in so many words, said that Redskins fans were stupid to be excited about having Gibbs as they're coach.... You can read this post any way you want skinsfan. The fact of the matter is that Sportsdaddy had no problem seeing where I was going with my FIRST post. Its you skins fans that read into it. You also stated that I opened 2 different threads to cut on Gibbs, WRONG, one of them was my selection for the Redskins Dallas game so I was trying to get my point across on why I was taking Dallas. I guess you can't talk about the coaches in your picks then? Don't make this more then it is. When you see a coach grabbing for excuses its time to watch him as a fade. Will the Redskins beat the Browns this week, I surely hope so as the Browns are anything but good and Butch Davis deserves the axe for the job he is doing this year. Skins, I never edited anything out of my Monday Night thread. The only thing I put in is my YTD record. Enough already!!! I put in my year to date and now you are turning it all around as if I toiok something else out. If someone took something else out it was a moderator. Stop blowing smoke, if you don't like what I wrote then simply put DON"T READ IT!!!! The Fans are happy with Gibbs because HE WAS a good coach, so be it. The key term here is "WAS".. Nothing has shown that so far. I will continue to post what I want and when I want. My facts are just that, MY FACTS. Stop making it look like I am covering up something in my Monday night post. It was left the way I started it the only thing that was added was my YTD record... The Redskins suck and that is the bottom line. Remember that everyone is intitled to their own beliefs and that is mine. If it makes you feel better I will also post that the Steelers played one good team so far and they lost that game in a blow out. The other 2 teams they played are pathetic to say the least. Radication, first off you need to understand that my favorite team is the Steelers and anyone who is playing the raiders. Never have I disliked a team as much as the raiders. I live in Cali so a lot of my friends are raider fans. They would agree with my next statement. Not all of the fans but the mass majority are worthless. They know little about the game and some can't even name 1 player on the team. They wear halloween costumes to the game and they look like they just stepped out of Folsom State Pen. They go to the games to fight and if their is no one to fight with they fight with each other. Their home stadium is pathetic and the atmosphere is even worse. A lot of TRUE raider fans have moved their seats to get away from these loud mouth jerks. The Raiders suck and Al Davis is the biggest jerk of them all. He actually sued the NFL and all of the owners. Like I said, I could go on forever but for the most part the raiders did not look good when the Steelers played them and that is why I called them pathetic. Either way no team chokes their chicken like the raiders. That you can count on !!! :thumbs:
