Very light day here on Monday. Just a couple of games for me. Not much on the card. The Under in the EPL game is just a small lean. Both have had the tendency to go Over in there matches but for the most part that's due in part to there opponent scoring the goals. Both teams have struggled putting the ball in the net of late so I figured I'll give the under a shot. Hopefully today will start the week off nicely. Best of luck to everyone!!!!

Arezzo really screwed things up today. I thought at worst they would at least draw against a weaker Verona side but instead they give up not one but two 90th minute goals to drop a 5-3 game.:bang: Fortunately got the Under in the Premiership game but I wanted both.:bang:

Big card on Tuesday as the 2nd round of the LDV Vans Trophy kicks off as well as the 2nd games of the Champions League. Tuesday also features matches in the ECL and English lower leagues along with a few Scottish tourney games. Will be going through them throughout the day but unfortunately most of the plays will come tomorrow as I need the handicaps to open up again. But for now I've got two lower English Division games for tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone!!!!

dbnmln- I didn't think they were capable of winning I just felt they could have at least drawn the game. Bayern had played like shit coming into this game but it didn't seem to matter much as they literally DESTROYED Ajax. Ajax just isn't the same without Ibrahimovic.

Giggs- Yeah alot of plays. Should have worked out better today. Sunderland was very dissapointing.

I need to get out of this little rut I'm in. Frustrating day again today. Sunderland and Preston really let me down I had them both rated very high. Also a little annoyed I came very close to betting the max allowable at 365 on Leek Town but decided to just stick to the original bet. It certainly would have helped. I also made sure that I picked the right games in the LDV Vans Cup b/c teams tend to field lesser lineups but my selections didn't seem to work out. Will do better tomorrow.

It's been a rough few days for me. Not liking the mini losing streak I'm on and I look to curb that on Wednesday. Will get to the rest either this evening or early in the morning. But I wanted to get my big play out the way so I can take care of the rest. I've heard alot lately that Arsenal is just not the same team in Champions League games as they are in English games. I agree with that statement but I believe it's time for Arsenal to put the critics to the test and finally come up with a big European match. Rosenborg is no pushovers as they too have had great success in Europe and are unbeaten in there last 13 European home games. With that said though the great Celtic side was 30+ games unbeaten at home till Barcelona took care of that record in the first game of the Champions League. Both teams have a few question marks in there rosters with Gilberto (injury) and Bergkamp (fear of flying) out for Arsenal while it's possible Strand and Berg will be out for Rosenborg. Rosenborg beat the last two English sides to come to there country in Blackburn and Chelsea but neither side were as strong as this Arsenal side. I believe some of the pressure of performing is off Arsenal as they aren't at home in this game and I believe they'll play a looser game on the road. I've read alot that Arsenal will go for the draw and I truly can't believe any team would ever play for a draw. To me Arsenal should be too strong for Rosenborg in this game. I've got my Arsenal Avatar going and I'm going full tilt for an Arsenal victory. I just hope Henry, Reyes, Cole, Veiria, Pires, Farbregas and others play to there potential. LET'S GO ARSENAL!!!! Best of luck to everyone!!!!

Well I decided to play a few UEFA Cup games. Been in a rut so these might be some good fades. Best of luck to everyone!!!!

September 30th:

UEFA Cup

Parma (Italy) (AH -1/4) (-111) Over NK Maribor (Slovenia) (L) (Game tied 0-0) 1/2 unit Loss

Parma comes in with a 3-2 home win against Maribor in the first leg. So advancement isn't certain yet. Odds have been pretty strange for this game as they are dropping on a Maribor home win in Italian books. Parma is coming off a huge momentum draw versus Inter Milan in there last game in the Italian league and should be able to squeek out a win on the road in this tie.

AZ Alkaamar (Holland) (-162) Over PAOK Salonika (Greece) (W) (AZ won 2-1)

AZ is also up 3-2 on an away win and advancement is almost certain unless they get shelled at home. Stil AZ will field a strong squad in this game as they look to earn more UEFA pts. PAOK is in dissaray. They got knocked out of the Champions League and have struggled to start the Greek league. There supporters and management are fed up and it's said that things among the players aren't great.

PFC Levski Sofia (Bulgaria) (AH +1/4) (-118) Over KSK Beveren (Belguim) (L) (Beveren won 1-0)

These two tied 1-1 at Levski in the first game so it's all up in the air for this one. Levski is having a very good season in the Bulgarian league while Beveren have been average in the Belgian league. Interesting thing for Beveren though is that there entire starting team will be from the Ivory Coast a product of there youth program. I believe Levski can manage a draw in this one.

Newcastle United (England) (-162) Over Hapoel Bnei Sachnin (Israel) (W) (Newcastle won 4-1)

Newcastle has been very good under Souness and won the first leg between the two 2-0. It was a hard fought game in which there were 2 red cards handed out and a bunch of yellows. Should be the same again but since Souness has taken over Newcastle has been very strong winning all 3 of there games under his control. Newcastle advancement is almost certain but they are still bringing a very good team to Israel.

Club Brugge (Belguim) (-150) Over Chateauroux (France-2nd) (W) (Brugge won 2-1)

Despite Brugge winning 4-0 in the first game between the two Brugge will still bring a solid team to Chateauroux. Charteauroux is a 2nd division French side and are struggling mightily. For this game Chateauroux will be missing as many as 7 starters for this game. Even Brugge's 2nd squad should handle them in this game. Odds on Brugge started at -125 and have now moved to -175.

Banik Ostrava (Czech Rep) (AH -1/2) (+110) Over Middlesborough (England) (L) (Game tied 1-1)

Interesting game. Middlesborough has had a good start to there EPL season but have been on a downtrend dropping there last two games. Middlesborough advancement is almost certain as they won the first game 3-0 and that is why I'm backing Banik in this game. Middlesborough will be w/o as many as 7 starters with all 3 starting forwards out of the game. Banik who lost 5-0 to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League did manage to come home and beat that German side in the 2nd leg but b/c of the beating they took were knocked out of the CL. There form seems to be pretty good of late playing pretty well in the Czech league and most importantly I believe they've got no injury concerns in there starting 11 for this game.

Good Luck to All!!!!

Here are Friday's Plays.....Best of luck to everyone!!!!

October 1st

Holland Eredivisie League

N.E.C. Nijmegen (-150) Over RBC Roosendaal - 2 units (W) (NEC won 3-0)

These two met in a Cup game two weeks ago where NEC won 4-0 at home. RBC was down to 10 men after being handed a red card in the 14th minute of the match. For this game though RBC has some serious squad problems as 8 starters could be out for this game. NEC has little or no trouble selecting there lineup as only 3 guys are questionable. RBC is 0-2 on the road getting hammered 7-1 in goal differential and have lost there last two by a combined 6-0. NEC is only 1-2 at home with a goal difference of 3-5 but in fairness their two losses were to two of the best teams in the league in PSV and AZ. NEC form isn't he best as they are winless in there last 4 games but in respect again except for a dissapointing scoreless away draw versus De Graafshcap there other matches were PSV, AZ and Utrecht that's 1st, 4th and 5th in the table at the moment.

Irish Eircom Premier League

Cork City (-138) Over Shamrock Rovers (W) (Cork won 1-0)

Entering this game Shamrock is losers of 7 out of there last 10 matches. Shamrock has several injury concerns for this visit to Cork. Cork hasn't been there best this season. But they still can hold out hope here at the end to possibly push for a place in a European Cup for next season if they can somehow finish off strong. Cork will be looking to build off a late game winner over Dublin in there last game. These two have met 3 times this season with Shamrock winning 2-1 at home and drawing 1-1 (3 weeks ago) while the lone game so far at Cork they also tied 1-1. Cork is the better team. With Shamrocks injury problems and there terrible form I'll back Cork for there first win versus Shamrock this season. Also Shamrock is just 2-9-3 (W-L-D) on the road while Cork is 5-4-3 at home.

Irish Eircom 1st Division

UCD (-150) Over Galway United (W) (UCD won 3-0)

1st place UCD meets 5th place Galway in the Game of the Week. UCD has to be brimming with confidence as they retook 1st place after a 1-0 win at 2nd place Finn Harps last week. UCD has no injury concerns to there lineup while Galway could be w/o 4 starters one being there 2nd or 3rd leading scorer (I can't remember). In terms of form these are the two hottest teams in the 1st Division. These two have met twice this season with both coming earlier in the season as UCD won at home 4-0 and tied 1-1 on the road at Galway. For the season UCD has been a rock at home with a 9-1-2 (W-L-D) with almost 3-1 goal differential while Galway is 5-6-1 on the road.

English Coca-Cola League II

Grimsby Town (AH -1/2) (-125) Over Cheltenham (L) (Game tied 1-1)

Grimsby has been solid at home to start the season at 3-1-1 while Cheltenham has been ok at 1-2-2 on the road. I'm really looking for Grimsby to bounce back after a tough midweek clash versus lower division Carlisle in a 2-1 loss in the LDV Vans Trophy. Grimsby has had some bad luck in there draws for Cup games as two weeks ago they had to play Charlton Athletic of the Premiership and lost a hardfought 2-0 game. In there last two league games though they played very well in beating Leyton and Cambridge 2-0. Cheltenham is winless in there last 5 league games with 2 road losses and 3 draws. They are somewhat bouyed by a 5-1 beating they handed to Dag&Red in the LDV Vans Cup game this week but D&G is a league lower and are towards the bottom of the table so the win isn't that big of a deal. Grimsby has shown solid enough form at home and I think they can squeek away a win in this one.

Good Luck to All!!!!

Solid day a nice way to start off the weekend and a refreshing bounce back after a frustrating week. Grimsby was the lone letdown as they lead for most of the game until they gave up an 85th minute equalizer. Big day for tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to carry the momentum into tomorrow.

There will be more either this evening but most likely in the morning as I need some handicaps to open up. Spent alot of time looking at the FA Qualifiers so hopefully I'll have a good day there. I did just O/U's for the EPL on Saturday just cause the only outright victory I see is Arsenal and I'm not playing the -350 line. I might play the -1 1/2 handicap but as of right now I just played the over. Stay away from the Spanish league games on Saturday. I made a two plays but w/o some info and it looks like both teams I wagered on have some injury problems for there games. Still going to ride them anyways. Best of luck to everyone!!!!

Thanks Emericj....Good Luck to you as well.

For those interested here's a link for all lower Division English sides that are competing in the FA Cup qualifiers. If you click on FA Cup and then acceptances you can find out which division the teams are in. Great site for those interested. Then you can go to the tables of the leagues and see where they are at.

Emericj - yeah it's nice to get those Overs. German Bundesliga has kicked my ass this season so it's certainly nice to get a clean sweep on them. Congrats on your plays!!!!

Scout - Congrats on that Under!!!!

Ok day I guess. Certainly could have been better. Kicking myself over the Spanish plays I made. Found out the injury info after I placed them and I knew they would all be losers. Just sucks cause it was about to be a very good day but those brought it down some. Also annoyed at Lens. There season hasn't been great but today's 1-1 draw versus Ajaccio is just a horrendous result. Ajaccio was playing w/o 8 first team starters and were also at the bottom of the table.
