NIU is coming in at 1-2 with losses to Maryland and Iowa State while beating lowly S. Ill by only 1. Not too impressive to say the least. Their offense can score in bunches, but their QB is rather inconsistent. He threw 4 TDs last week but also 4 INTS that cost them the game. On the other hand, their defense is horrible giving up 23, 22, and 48 pts respectively. To me, BG is the much better team tonight as they only lost by 16 at Oklahome, and then beat a weak SE Mizzu St team. However, their offense can also score in bunches, and thier defense is decent. They have also had an extra week to prepare as their last game was on Sept 11 as opposed to Sept 18 for NIU. However, the biggest key for tonight's game is the emotional factor that BGU has on their side. During this current bye week, a player collapsed and died after practice. Needless to say, they'll be winning this one for him. Look for them to keep out smoking, and not let up till they get the W in their column. GL ALL!
