Outright plays (1.5pts):

Mi Hyun Kim to win 25/1 e.w. @ SkyBet and Paddy Power
Three top-6 finishes in her last four starts shows that she is nearing her early season form when she had six consecutive top-7 finishes from March to May. So as a former winner on this course (2000), she should be confident of yet another very high finish this week.

Beth Daniel to win 40/1 e.w. @ Ladbrokes
Another player in very good form and with a good history on this course. Three top-5 finishes in her last five starts are enough to show that these odds are false. Add in the fact that she opened with a 62 around this course last year and was only edged out by a single shot to Annika Sorenstam and there is definitely value at 40/1.

Catriona Matthew to win 40/1 e.w. @ SkyBet and Paddy Power
Backed last week and didn't play well until the last round, but she has still had three top-10 finishes, including a win, in her last four starts so her form is good enough to win this week. Like the other selections, she has good greens in regulation stats which will be important this week and she does have a good record around this course, finishing in the top-10 last year.

Matchup plays:

Catriona Matthew to beat Christina Kim -111 @ Centrebet [3pts]
Both players in good form, but Matthew still dominates this matchup: 5-1-1 h2h over the past three months on the LPGA Tour. With Kim missing the cut by some distance on her debut here last year - she was seven shots behind Matthew at the cut - this should be another week where Matthew prevails.
(also available at Expekt)

Michele Redman to beat Wendy Ward -125 @ Five Dimes [4.5pts]
Ward simply has a terrible record around this course. She has played in the last seven stagings of this event, missing the cut five times and finishing 60th and 61st on the other two occasions. Redman has finished ahead of in six of those seven occasions, finishing in the top-10 twice in her last four visits. With a 2004 h2h record of 9-5-2 in Redman's favour, this really should be straightforward on this course.

Outrights - FINAL RESULT: 0-3; -4.50pts

Kim 53rd
Daniel 32nd
Matthew 62nd

Very poor.

Matchups - FINAL RESULT: 0-2-0; -8.96pts

Matthew/Kim LOST by 6
Redman/Ward LOST by 2

Heavy loss on two strongly-favoured plays. Redman did lead Ward with a few holes to play, but should not have been close at these stakes.
