public is 70% on Washinton State in this game....these guys return 2 starters on defense and only 4 on an offense that lost its Qb, Rb, and all three receivers....they are on the road to open the season in a very hostile environment....and to boot....they are playing on grass....at home they play on the plastic stuff....something is wrong here and i see the man drooling with such a large public play....i put myself on the sidelines on this game earlier in the week but i may suit up with the Lobos...this line started at -2.5....i am not too sure the cougars can put enough points on the board to push this game over the total of 47 right now....if New Mexico dominates the line of scrimmage as i suspect it could be a 24-17 type game....the home dog looks much more appetizing to me if i do pull the trigger on this one....

At home, great running team, solid offensive line, on national television. i dont know why the public likes wash state. I really like New Mexico tonight. moore has a huge day.

My opinion is starting to sway here. As I continue to analyze this game the glaring things that stick out are MOORE and HOME DOG!!! Season opener !!!!!I still like the overs though guys !! Call me crazy but WAC Pac-10 all these guys play no D and I think the line is low enough to easily cover the ## Anyone else with a take ????

Carib still has it @ NM +3 gonna take the 3 for 2 units and over 47
also parlay NM and over 1/2 unit. 1unit =100.00

Also the I think laying the wood on Oklahoma is a good play.

True but that was last year facing power teams like ND, Colo, Oreg, Oreg St., USC, UCLA, Wash and Texas. Besides, they are only returning 2 defensive players this year. N. Mexico has a good team but they too gave up a few pts. like 22 ppg and 18 ppg at home. These are 2 rebuilding teams with Wash St. losing more starters. However the Cougars lost the same numbers of starters 2001 & 2003. Records those years were 10-2 and 10-3 respectively. They also covered as road dogs those years, 2001 1-0 ATS and 4-1 ATS last year. Either way I drink a beer tonight and have a good time.

IMO-this line and public money comes down to conf. perception, i.e. Pac 10 will dominate Mtn. West.

Everything I read says that New Mexico should be favored. I don't know what the public is reading, but I'm going with UNM at home with the free points.

GL to everyone.

Yes, but N Mexico has only 4 defensive starters from last year. I don't cosider that a clear advantage. Hopefully we see a good game tonight. GL

Not too crazy about either side here: For NEw Mexico gone are 14 starters, including 8 players who were named to the 1st
or 2nd all-conference teams in 2003. Six of the eight were defensive
players, including three defensive linemen. On offense the Lobos must
replace Casey Kelly, the winningest quarterback in school history.

Wash. St. had I think the 6th or 7th best d against the run last year. Granted they lost a lot of people but there weren't too many standout individuals which may say that the system is what works, nevertheless it doesn't appear this defensive unit will have a huge challenge against it, even with Moore. Wash. St. may struggle on offense but they are going up against a inexperinced d here too. I would lean Wash. St, true game is on the road I think talent-wise Wash. St. has the edge, experience-wise I rate it close to even. I like Wash. St by a touchdown

Public still liking Wash st. I see the line up to 4 at Bodog. i dont use that sportsbook but for those who do that line looks real nice. Especially since the game opened at 1.5.

I may go down in flames tonight, but I'm sticking with my first instinct and taking Wash. St. - 2.5

YTD 3-2

O/U of 47? What do yall think about that?

I'm on NM also, they competed in every game last year (even though it was MWC) and return most starters on D. Not sure if Wazu is rebuilding or reloading. But like everyone says on here, it's tough to play the first game on the road.
