Took the following futures bets (all win totals regular season) to kick off the CFB season. Will also be betting UGA to win the SEC when i find the best odds for that bet.

ASU.......Over6.5 +115...steal of the day IMO. i think this is going to be an explosive team and i think 8 wins is the total. They have revamped the defense and should have an explosive offense. Leaves a little room for error if they stumble.

CAL.......Over7.5 -140...banking on a weak non conference schedule and a down pac-10 this year. Tedford won't let them let down in the ones they should win.

UVA.....Over7.5 -125.....schedule is favorable and i think this team nets 9 W's this year. They will win in Blacksburg and beat Miami at home. Should be an explosive team and groh is proving to be a good coach.

UGA.......Over9 Even......I think UGA won't stumble more than once if they stay healthy. LSU and TENN at home. Tough road game early vs. SCAR who always plays them tough. No way if they are healthy they lose 3 times, so i shouldn't do worse than push here. I think UGA may be undefeated at season's end if they don't get bad breaks

UNLV........Over5.5 -115.....taking a flyer on this one (no pun intended). Hearing from those that follow the program closely that this may be Robinson's best team on paper since he has been at UNLV. They should win conference home games vs. AFA, WYOMING and NEW MEXICO. 2 L's at WIS and TENN and 2 W's in home non conference games vs. UTAH ST. and some other scrub team (escapes me now). Need 1 road win either at BYU, CSU, SDSU or UTAH. BYU and CSU will both be down so i think one of those is doable. Anyway, good value here IMO. The last game of the year will be at SDSU. That will probably be for 2nd in the conference, so a W there isn't out of the question. SDSU might have the worst home field advantage in CFB.

GL to everyone!

Hey FlyersFan-Where can I get a rundown of all the teams' future season wins?

K- the hilton released 35 or so teams with O/U numbers for the season. They should be listed at your on-line book under futures wagers for CFB. There were a couple that i thought were GREAT bets....UVA, CAL and ASU for sure. GL with whatever you play!!!

ADD:

UGA 14-5...... to win the SEC title......they have everything going their way they could want to start a season. UGA gets LSU and TENN at home, FLA doesn't match up with the UGA speed at receiver as they lost most of their backfield. UGA will play AUB/LSU in the title game, and IF healthy...they win, period! If they can get by SCAR at SCAR early, beat a FLA team that they should beat, and take care of business at home, this team plays for the National title (i don't like the SEC or UGA if anyone is wondering if there is any bias here).

I think there are some great preseason bets, so take a good look at them. Can't wait for CFB season.

FlyersFan-The book I go thru is world sports exchange. They have very few futures and proposition bets. Can you recommend a better book that offers those along with early, quality lines? Thanks for the info on the teams above. I agree with you about Georgia. I don't follow the ACC and the Big East as much with being in Big 10 territory...and I follow the Pac-10 some too. Thanks for any help.

kc- pinnacle is the best book that i can tell you about here IMO. my best book isn't sponsored here (been with them for about 3 years). either email Kevin at iluvespn@aol.com and get his input or get my email address from him and i will email you my preferred book and what i know about some other ones. i can't list it here since it isn't a sponsor.

PS....saw your B10 predictions and they looked pretty solid IMO. watch out for PSU to finish around 4th or 5th and Illinois may be a great team to play on early...OSU may struggle with the Hawks in Iowa City.....great place to see a game! GL!

FF Question:

Do these wins include Conf champ games and bowl games? I am looking to place some bets and Bodog does not state if they do or not. Only that they MUST play all the scheduled regular season games.

Thanks

Now I see it does say regular season wins, but does that include the Conf champ or is that considered "post season"?

Shark- at mine it only included "scheduled" games at the beginning of the season....as of the start of the season, none of these teams are "scheduled" to play in a championship or bowl game, so they don't count....at least at my place...someone let me know if they know of otherwise....there are some GREAT preseason bets out there..GL!!!

shark- just confirmed mine are definately regularly scheduled regular season games only.....i love a couple of those, especially ASU, UVA and UGA....ASU after being a major disappointment last year will bounce back this year. i love the fact that ASU is flying under the radar...they will be a great play in some of their early games, especially in a revenge game at home in SEPT vs. Iowa (who lost a lot to the NFL).....GL if you play something!!

Thanks FF! It is only regular season games, no conf champ.

I already put one in for CAL O7.5 and looking at adding the over on VA and GA I will tail you on ASU but I have to go to another book to get that one.

I'm also looking at FLA under. Any thoughts on that? They are real young and Zook sucks! This will be his last year.

shark- i am still looking at a couple that i have been on the fence on, and FLA under is at the top. They won't beat UGA and they won't win at TENN...they play FSU at Tallahassee and they play LSU in the swamp. They have a VERY easy SEC schedule for the SEC with KEN, ARK SCAR at home and VANDY, MISS ST away...they don't play AUB or ALA this year. I think they will lose 3 of the 4 games vs. LSU, UGA, TENN and FSU, which puts them at 8-3 in my book. I don't see them losing at home or to VANDY or MISS ST on the road. Their 2 other non-conference games are vs. a couple of high school teams (surprise surprise, an SEC team not scheduling tough out of conference). Anyway, i think it is a pretty good play and i will most likely be on that one. Also looking at OHIO ST under8.5, but i hate betting against my own school, and i hate to go against Tressel. They have some tough revenge road games vs. IOWA, PUR, and NCST and they still have to take care of MICH, who is realistically the best in the B10 if they find a QB that can throw the ball and not make mistakes.

GL!!

UGA +666 to win the Orange Bowl.....this team is big time for real this year if they can stay healthy.

GL to everyone!!
