Every FAN understands the feeling of anticipation a brand new football season brings with it. All the new players to check out on your "HOMER" Team...Rothlesberger for me...hoping they reach the damn Play-Offs this year....or WIN if they made it last season, but lost!
Every GAMBLER is feeling added anticipation as well, but for much different reasons. We're asking ourselves, "Should I bet the Pre-Season Games or not?"
Believe it or not, some gamblers think its a waste of bankroll money, saying, "games don't count anyway," or "just can't lay my cash on a scrub," and other such nonsense. Don't get me wrong, both of those statements are honest and factual. However, with a bit of work on your part, Pre-Season can prove to be a very profitable beginning to your wagering season. There are several factors to consider regarding the pre-season, such as type of situation and team motivation. But the most important is, in my opinion, PLAYERS and COACHES .
To me, this is NUMERO UNO! As we all know, in the earliest weeks of pre-season, the true Starters will see very little playing time. No more than the 1st Quarter for certain and many right after the Starting Offense scores. Therefore, find out the answer to these questions: who did each team draft, sign, bring off injured reserve or free agency? The "Stringers!"
These are the ones who will play most of the first 2 pre-season games. GET TO KNOW THEM VERY WELL!!!
Also, how intact, if at all, is last year's Coaching Staff? Completely "re-tooled"? New Offensive or Defensive Schemes to learn for the Starters?
This information is critical for any chance at a winning Pre-Season.
