Yesterday 3-5 (-2.17 units)
MLB YTD: 36-32 (+9.72 units)

Been scuffling the last couple of days. Atlanta and Oakland's choke jobs turned a 5-3 night into 3-5 in the blink of an eye. Hoping for two profitable days before the break.

Athletics -1.5 (+135) @ Indians
Bottom line here: Sabathia is just not right physically right now. In his last two starts he lasted a grand total of 4 innings combined. When your facing a strong pitcher like Mulder there isn't much room for error for the other pitcher, and I don't think
Sabathia is going to last long today. And if the Athletics above average bats go against the Indians bullpen for several innings, look out.

Reds (+150) @ Brewers
I'm not really sure why the Brewers are so heavily favored here, especially with the recent performance at the plate and comparing it to the Reds batters. In addition, Sheets stats are only slightly better than Lidle's are right now. At these odds this is my favorite play of the day. I definitely see a live dog here.

Rockies (+150) @ Padres
Overall the Rockies aren't a very good baseball team but they have been hitting very well lately and winning more games on the road than I would ever expect right now. I think they are getting the favorable odds here because the betting public doesn't think the Rockies win many road games, and not too many people have heard of Cook before. The Rockies road magic is going to end soon, I just hope it's not tonight.

Royals (+180) @ Orioles
The Orioles don't have any pitchers on the roster (including the one listed today) and don't have strong enough bats to be a $2.00 favorites over anyone right now. This is mostly a play against the odds than anything else. Kansas City has been terrible recently and I don't expect too much of an improvement by this baseball team, but I take my chances here with the favorable odds. Baltimore is not playing for much right now either and I'm hoping that most of their players have one eye on the All-Star break, which dimishes the motivational factor.

Astros @ Dodgers u7 (-110)
I normally don't like to play under the total when the posted total is this low, but I'll make an exception in this case, with these two strong pitchers on the mound. Yesterday I took the over in the
Astros/Dodgers game and took a loss, so I am hoping the Dodgers and Astros bats don't break out of their declining
performance at the plate. I don't think that will happen against Clemens and Alvarez.

All 1 unit

Good luck today to all.

GL duke! The thing about the Rocks is they are healthy now (the pitchers still suck) so they are a completely different team, but for dog bettors sake, the lines have not caught up yet!!!!

Thanks Queen!! Appreciate it:cool:

Ute Fan - I agree with you about that. Larry Walker in the middle of the lineup makes a huge difference for them. I was at that game when the Rockies played the Indians a couple of weeks ago and he went yard 3 times! As for the pitching, maybe they need to bring Mike Hampton back:flush:

Cook is pretty good...but yeah, general public apparently doesn't realize it yet. One of those cases where people probably say "who is this loser picthing for Colorado" and just play against him.

Sean Burnett for Pittsburgh seems to be another one of these guys that's throwing great baseball, but is getting no line respect.

Cook has long been considered the Rocks best prospect/best pitcher ready to go right now. Plus with the way the Rocks are swinging the bats and NOT giving in when down, they could make a push for .500 before the season is done. Snatch the silly lines while you can.

Worse case scenario is that both starting pitchers stink it up and the game is decided by the bullpens. Hoffman threw alot of pitches yesterday, so he wouldn't be able to stay out there too long today if necessary.
