What makes you like the Sox today Dave?

I haven't been terribly impressed with Boston lately, or all year really. Sure they have some offense, but they aren't a very solid all around team IMO.

Wakefield has been getting rocked recently too, and i'm sure the Yankees are really looking to lay it on Boston and sweep this series to show Boston what's up after losing 6 of the first 7 this year before last night.

In other words that Yanks are once again the superior team this year, and i think they wanna let Boston know it.

I know you're a Yanks fan and with you going against them tonight, that's why i'm so interested in your opinion.

As i write that, i sit here watching another half assed team IMO, the Houston Astros, blowing the game to the Cubs.

Ok, are you ready Stifler. All day today on N.Y. talk radio, they have been saying how the Red-Sox were flat, they played like crap & so on. It was just 1 game. W/ everybody hearing that. I beleive lots of wood will be laid on the Yankees. Besides the fact that they have a very rough time w/ Wakefield!!!

Public on the Yankees, all over the Yankees!!! I just feel the Red-Sox have to win tonight!!!


Also the added fact, that Leiber has not pitched well in his last 4 games. Just my opinion. The way i have been picking lately, who knows. But i am sticking to my guns & going w/ it!!!


Red-Sox really need to win tonight. Or they might be just fighting for a Wild Card. If that!!!:thumbs:

If the public is on the Yanks (don't know if they are or not)...something smelly is going on, cause the line keep moving down in the favor of NYY.

My book had NYY -143 when i first checked it today, and it's now at NYY -128.

The one thing that does scare me in this game is Leiber, but even if he has a sub par outing, i think the Yanks have enough fire power to pull out the win anyway.

The Red Sox have played like crap going back to the Philly series at fenway too, when Philly beat em up pretty good...and even before that, losing a ton of games on the road trip prior to this one against teams not nearly as good as the Yanks or Phils.

It's only one game and the Red Sox may be right the right call tonight, who knows. Just pointing out the way i saw it.
