Det has Lakers figured out. Let Shaq get his and shut down Kobe. No one else can score. Malone's injury really affected this series. One of the reasons why I dont like series bets, never know who will get hurt and when.

Give credit where credit is due. I blame the Pistons. They have come into this series with a great game plan. Had Detroit not given a game away this series would be over. As a Kings fan I am enjoying this series in a big way.... GL

Bookie...I watched some of the game last night...and Shaq should have gotten the ball more! But other than that....I'm simply not a fan of Shaq or the accolades he receives from "experts" and fans about his domination! You know as well as I do....Shaq gets away with fckin murder during a game! And then I hear people say he gets the calls because he has changed the way basketball is being played and his size proves dominant.....if he wasn't the size he is now...noone would have ever heard of Shaq. Size does not equal talent! If the refs had any balls...Shaq would be fouled out by half! Free throws....beyond pitiful! I even hear whims of him being the best center of all time...give me a fckin break. He doesn't crack my top ten!!!

But that's me....I do not like the Lakers. Just a difference of opinions....no offense to anyone, I hope!!! GL in your plays!

With all this said....I do like the Lakers in game 5!!!

It is a moot point. In truth you have to wonder about a team that has an unstoppable player and yet refuses to go to him. Shaq can score any time he touches the ball, yet they ignore him for extended stretches of play.
As for next game, I have to think it is Detroit...and I suspect the entire Laker organization will be glad not to have to see one another in the locker room again.
One last point: Detroit has three STARTERS that were at one time on the Washington Wizards: Rip Hamilton, and the two Wallaces. Larry Brown ought to send Abe Pollin a bottle of champagne for being a fool.:yeah:

Steel is right. The Pistons are whooping the Lakers asses. Don't blame the Lakers just because they are the INFERIOR team to Detroit this year. Detroit is flat out dominating the Lakers on the court. I'm sure there's no one on the Lakers team that doesn't want to win, or isn't trying to win.

After Shaq and Kobe, LA has N-O-B-O-D-Y. Payton ain't doing shit. Malone is hurt. Their role guys are just that, role players. Anyone really think Slava Medevenko or Luke Walton are gonna step in and post some big numbers and bail LA out? Hell no they ain't...and Detroit knows this. This is why LA can't just go to Shaq and/or Kobe every time they touch the ball.

Just goes to show how important players like Robert Horry really are. NBA titles seem to follow him where ever he goes, yet he never gets any credit.

If any other team was taking an ass beating like LA is in this series, Detroit would have been a huge fave already by game 3. LA will never be a big underdog though, no matter what, because the man can't balance his book that way. Joe Q Public will see LA getting a few points and hit the hell out of it. Hell, from what i understand alot of the smart money was even on LA last night.

Those who have seen past the "LA dynasty", the "4 future hall of famers" talk, beyond the public perception that LA is invincible, and beyond thinking LA is just going to sleep walk to another title for Payton and Malone so they can retire, have gotten some tremendous value on Detroit so far in this series.

They should have already swept LA...and that, is quite a feat.

If i am wrong, and LA is the better team, they will come back and take the next 3....but as of now, i can easily see Detroit just dishing out 1 more beat down to LA in game 5, and it'll be all over.

My 2 Cents Worth:

In Looking at Game4.. Alot of Things Pointed to LA winning that Game..Down 2-1 at Det for next 2 games..Had their Asses handed to them in Game 3..Lucky to win Game 2..Press all over them ??? their Heart..Det after Big win in Playoffs then Lossing next Game on let down..Magic ripping the Players by name..ect ect ect..Then before Game Smart money moves on LA..Bam LA looks Great but Everyone on LA forgot something..Det team has been Built to not have a weakness if a Player or Two is off the floor or having a Bad game..Can ya Say that for LA..??..Det is a Smooth running Team that is being Coached as well as any team has been ..Brown made it to Finals with Philly and that team had less weapons then Det..Give Joe Dumars alot of Credit..!!..He has Put a Great Puzzle together..Remember Billups had a Hurt ankle last year or Det would have done Better..Billups is the MVP of the Series..Det is a TEAM playing as A UNIT...Now I've Said enough time for me to Go and Leave ya Good People Alone... Detroit's defense may be one of the best ever. They got the wrong Brown for coach of the year. Rasheed hit some huge shots.

If it wasn't for Shaq LA loses by 20+. Seemed to me LA's offense was better with Fox and Payton on the floor.
