1st shot of the Game was for Croatia on a Free Kick just outside the 18 in the 2nd minute. Easy save by the Goalie.

Swiss shot right down the middle but a save by Butina. 6th minute.

Croatia has certainly been the attacker in this match. Swiss have had a couple of nice counters but Croatia is controlling the play. Few good oppurtunities wasted early.

Dado Prso got taken down in the box but he got called for diving.

Croatia rebounds and takes a nice shot. Swiss counters and takes a low line drive shot and Butina makes a diving save to keep a goal out of the net. Swiss counters have been very dangerous early.

After a failed through ball by the Swiss which was a great oppurtunity. Croatia counters and earns a corner.

Unbelievable set piece by Croatia. Swiss tried to pull them off sides but couldn't. Swiss goalie made an outstanding save on the first header. The rebound header by Croatia hits the top crossbar and goes over the net. Huge chance blown by Croatia.:bang:

Switzerland and Croatia tied at 0-0.

1st Half Play:

Corners Croatia 5-1

Croatia for the most part dominated the play in the first half. They had countless number of oppurtunities. The best was on the set piece. A great save by the Swiss keeper and a blown 2nd header by Croatia and this game is 1-0. Croatia seems so close to scoring but haven't been able to. Swiss counters have been very dangerous. They aren't playing all that well but when they get some space they are creating. Hakin Yakin is the marked man on the Swiss squad. He's been causing them some trouble in the backfield. Hopefully neither teams become complacent in the 2nd half and settle for the 0-0 draw. Hopefully Croatia can get on target and get one by the Swiss keeper.

Swiss keeper was out of the net. Croatia tried a long distance shot. The ball bounced over the keepers head he made a mad dash to make a diving slide save to keep the ball out of the net.

Swiss with a counter and a shot saved by the Croatian keeper. GOod oppurtunity for them. Swiss are down to 10 players and Croatia keeps trying to exploit that.
