I am excited rooster....it was really nice to see them in Omaha last year and to make it two years in a row would be great....we lost to Clemson in 1980 in the regional final something like 15-11 and Clemson went to Omaha....then in 1981 we won the regional and went out to the series....finished 3rd....I was the 9th pitcher on a staff of 10....our ace was Bill Landrum....drafted by the Reds, and was fairly successful as a closer for a few years with the Pirates at the end of his career.....no super regionals back then....we had a very talented team and am very suprised a couple of the guys didnt make it to the Bigs....of course Mookie Wilson and Coach Richardson left just as I was getting there as a freshman.....lets hope this is the year a team from the East brings home the title!!!!!!!

I just got down on South Carloina to win the Series myself at +425 and then saw this thread. I agree with you guys...I hope they play HARD!!! There will be some STIFF compititoin to go thru though.

I just like the fact that Campbell, Buckner, and Blackwell are all healthy and will be able to pitch most of the games. Those are solid starters and the tops saves man in the nation.

Couldnt be prouder than a game rooster that just got layed this morning.....GO COCKS!!!! I was only able to watch the first three innings then had to go to LL practive but was pleased to see the ninth inning when I got home.....three teams left and USC is one....one win away from a chance to lock horns with the Texas Longhorns? ....tonight we truly avenge that game 1 loss and move into the best of three over the weekend for the champeenchip.....
