Ok fellas. When ya get a group of hundreds of people together your gonna get differing opinions. No matter what I say or do re: this issue somebody is gonna hate my guts. Im sorry for that.

I maintain that I have known these moderators for quite some time and when they make a decision I stand by it as if it were my own. I trust that each and every one of them have good judgement and do what's best to uphold the integrity of the forum. When ya get growth, ya get problems. We'd all like to see the old small forum tight knit group stay the same but its damn near impossible to keep it that way. All we can do is weed out the worthless posters, try to keep bickering to a minimum, and do whats best for the forum as a whole.

I personally am sick of hearing about the smooth issue and the bickering that goes along with it. This forum is not built on one poster win lose or draw, and all the fighting and shit takes away from the real reason we're here. I dont care whether smooth is right or wrong, too much shit is swirling around here and I just asoon him move on to somewhere else rather than hear it all and have it F up the chemistry we got going here. This forum was fine before we had smooth and it will be fine after smooth is gone. We got plenty of good guys here and all this bickering is doing nothing but costing us the good that we do have. I been a forum guy for many moons and trust me, all will be fine.

Thanks for all your emails, agree or disagree, I am sticking by Yomonte's decision as Ive heard his side of the story and thats all I needed to hear. A case can be made for both sides of the fence, but when it all boils down to it, Yo ain't no dummy and he's got his reasons for doing what he's done, doing, and will do in the future. Some may not like that but lemme tell ya this, Yo is a huge reason this forum is what it is and what it will be in the future.

For those that dont understand it and bring up the issue that "this is a public forum" and whats happening shouldnt happen, you are right when you say that there are cliches here and that if you piss certain people off you are either gone or gonna get an unfair trial. As much as this forum appears to be public, its actually more of a club. Our goal is surely to grow, I hate seeing guys get booted or leave etc but you can bet that if your:

A. Worthless

B. A cancer to the group

C. Touting

D. Bashing others

E. A dickhead

F. Or just dont seem to fucking fit in,

You can bet your gonna get run or not get any respect. Most forums are a bar where anybody can come in. This forum is more of a club such as a ***** lodge, elks lodge, etc. Some people's really gonna get their panties in a bunch over that statement, but Im sorry, thats the way it is.

Thanks for the answer... I disagree however, and i think it all comes down to this. I think people from the beginning either liked or disliked Smooth, and those opinions will never change. Thread titles to me are just a way of identifying yourself. If everyone had "picks for 5/28" it would get pretty confusing. As far as his Top Picks, everyone who doesnt play equal units has their own version of the top pick. Nick has his best bet, Adam has his POD, TNP has his Top Notch Pick... etc.

As far as Smooth being an OK capper, i have to disagree. In college Bowl games (which is when i first started watching) He was insane, and won me about $5000 in a week when i really needed it. College hoops he started out badly and everyday would tell people to fade him, which i had to admire. But he came around and he had a solid NBA too.

I only Tailed him blindly in the college bowls because he was so money, but the guy did have a write up with his pick every day... He was a good capper and this site will remain good but lose a lot of traffic.

The reason the Newbies follow his is because he won a lot of people money, and they signed up because of him. Believe it or not, Smooth brought a lot of people to this forum, and even though the people who have been around a long time say its better with less people, this site will lose a lot of traffic and thats what keeps it in business

Cool GP- I'm glad we can disagree in a civil manner. Peace brother and thanks for the discussion, it's a better world if we're diffrent rather than the same...so I get your meaning behind his titles. It just came off as pompous to me. And I can't really comment on football and smooth, so I won't touch that, I only know him from baseball and basketball, and he was merely average at best, and boastfulness at it's worst. I am not gonna say to bring smooth back because i have not been here long enough to see the problems that may have occured. I can only speak from what i have encountered since i have been here.
Since joining the forum smooth has only helped me make money. To me that is all that matters. I have cashed in listening to the insight he has provided. That is my only reason to be here so i feel his involvement in the forum is important.
I am done with this topic and i wont bring it up again. Whatever the moderators feel is needed to be done that is fine but speaking ona personal leverl i didnt have any problems with smooth.

I love this site...and it benefits everyone! In addition, I know there has to be order in these forums. I want to respect the mods...but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth! Does Smooth deserve to banned for good.........hell no! Are you telling me there is no resolution to this problem??? UC and Smooth can come to an amicable agreement???

It just looks like to me you're throwing a guy out because you just don't like him....and that is wrong!!!

And if that is the case....there are other guys to get rid of in addition to Smooth...starting in the MLB forum!!!

If the folks behind smooth leaving wanna come out and explain the situation, thats up to them. I had nothing to do with it and will continue to have nothing to do with it. Im buried with stuff and running behind on stuff that we had planned on presenting for football season including 2 sister websites that will be hooked up to this one.

As far as loss of traffic, no worries there. We get oodles of search engine traffic, more in one day than most sites get in a year. Please dont take that as a pompous remark, but mark my words, we're not gonna lose traffic so dont anybody worry about this place turning into a ghost town. We have oodles of magazine ads as well. With that being said, that surely doesnt mean that we dont care about losing posters. The ultimate goal is to grow like a weed and make this the number one place to share regional info to help beat the man ;)

Unfortunately, for some godforsaken reason, bickering and arguments always seem to happen in the offseason when football is in hibernation. Chris can vouch, happens in all forums etc. Cant wait till we get our seasonal guys back for foots and this place starts ragin again.

why is that whenever smooth got into a heat argument with another person in the forum, whether he started it or not, why didn't the other guy get banned or at least, mentioned? Smooth can't be at fault all the time, can he?

Forum stuff surely isnt an exact science. Guys bicker back and forth all the time and one guy gets spanked while the other doesnt.

Pretty bizarre how I can acknowledge it, yet still not act on it. I will openly admit that a guy like Redsfann, Rubee, Chris, or Billy Baroooooo can drop an F bomb on a guy and nothing gets done about it while a newbie or a questionable guy pops off and gets the boot.

I agree, its kinda unfair at times, why Im not sure. I try to play neutral in all occurances but I guess Im human too and prone to taking sides, turning a head, or even jumping on the pile at times.

With me what it really boils down to is "is a guy contributing" or is he here to stir the pot. With that being said, smooth did contribute, but Im in a tough spot here. Our mods have their reasons and I gotta back them up as if those decisions were my own.

First off when Heave Ho caught the Double IP number I was quite shocked. You would have to been here back last fall to understand this. Yes it is a big deal to have two posting names. Spoonie Luv had two names and you guys just thought that was great he got banned. SquidRick posted his email address and part of the email address was a cellphone number. I was not a monitor back then. He got banned. Kevin let him back in and chalked it up as a mistake. Smooth was the first one to come to his defense to be let back in. Both Smooth and SquidRick were posting in the same threads. Back then they did not check IP numbers on all posts. Now we do. So you had the same guy posting messages to his ownself. Some of the plays were on different sides, most were the same. But when you have one guy making two different post it just causes trouble. I figure Smooth did this on Wed to prove to me that there was people with more than two names, after I posted in a thread I thought we got them all. Well I was proven wrong. This forum is to help people not be deceptive. And if you dont think posting under two different names is not deceptive well then somethings wrong with you. For all of you that think this has to do with a winning record then you are crazy. It has nothing to do with a winning record at all. It never did. Lot of it has to do with posting a line then coming back and saying got a push because I bought the hook. Post 4 plays go 2 and 2 and say I had more on one team had a winning night.

You may not like a monitor(s), you may not like the way we do
things, but I will always close up threads and delete stuff when it comes to posting or bashing a monitor or on posts I think are out of line. But that is the way I am and I will keep on doing it that way. Im not trying to cover up anything. This is a posting Forum for Sports, and the silly stuff bumps down post with good information in them.

It's only deceptive if they post two different plays. If that is the case...throw him out! But saying we are "crazy" because we think Smooth is being banned because of a winning record dispute...well, that's wrong! The reason we might think that because you keep "other" reasons locked away in some secret past.

If you don't tell us why...we can only come to our own conclusions about Smooth. Why so secretive??? If this is true about Smooth...lay it on the line!!! Something stinks here...and I think it goes far beyond Smooth and two IP numbers!!!

I don't care if it happened last summer or last night....tell me all the wrongdoings of Smooth! I know it's not against the law...and you obviously don't care how you talk to the man....so just come clean and be honest. Believe me, I'll respect any response you have.

I dont so much have a problem with it nor did I notice it myself, but it was said that he was swiping plays on a daily basis from a couple solid cappers on some other sites and claiming the plays as his own.

Again, I dont have anything to do with that and hesitated to even bring it up as its somewhat irrelevant, but that was one of many emails I received and from more than once source.

Rothko, please try and understand that the Moderators have told you what he did wrong. Do you want to hear that he used to go in and talk to himself in his own thread using another name. Can you not see that that may deceive a newbie and make him lay cash and pay the price in the end. He actually was talking to himself in the football forums and making himself sound as though he was the bomb when he was really barely 50%. Can you not see how this is taking money from new people learning how to gamble. All I have to say is GOD BLESS AMERICA. I have been in gambling forums for over 14 years. People that act the way Smooth did have used sites to go start a pay for picks service. I can't say that Smooth was doing this but I could definetly see it coming. Smooth acted as though he was bigger then the forum. His ego made me sick and he boosted his sports betting bigger then it really was. I can't remember how many times he would post a bet in the morning only to take it back later in the day. Do you have any idea what the juice can add up to ? If you read his posts you will see that he was slippery then a fish and for the life of me I can't see where all this fan fair comes from. This place will be far better in the long run. OK Yo, had asked for Smooth allowed back in last week and Kevin was gone. Kevin only one that can put members back in. Smooth was put back to his status on Tuesday night. Thing were going to get back to normal.

Wed evening post shows up as SquidRick after Smooth had been let back in, not before, after. I was involved in the reseach done this morning. I could not believe it I was shocked. SquidRick had over 200 posts so this is not like he just signed up for a new name. SquidRick had posted in Smooth's Threads, posted in his own threads, posted plays on other side, even post he was going to Las Vegas to win some big money. Yo is not the bad guy you think he is, he cares for this forum. None of us like to banned anyone. It is not this forum's goal to banned people.

I will tell you one other thing back during Basketball season when Smooth got banned, I played the middleman in that little tiff. They agreement was for Yo to say out of Smooth's threads and Smooth stay out of Yo's threads. Yo kept his end of the deal up. Smooth entered Yo's thread and started it this time. Go back do a search on Yomonte and you will see he kept his word.

I hope this will clear up a couple of things. Maybe you dont agree with it. Im sorry but that is the way it is.

Oh NO now I'm known as the "F bomb dropper"! Hey I have made some mistakes over the year and wake up feeling pretty bad about it. Well maybe two I can think off. I tone down my South Side beer drinking attitude (I think that is what Rubee called it) on here. Not to mention I unfused a time bomb waiting to happen with Rubee. I'm really trying to get in touch with my feminine side, really!

I just get tired of the new guys who come in here pounding there chest cause they picked a winner. It's not about one game it's about the season and how you come out smelling in the end. This happens every year in College Bowl games all the way to the NCAA Tournament. Keep a record with your win lose and units won. That is how I come to respect the people who have been here for a while. So when I see these ego maniacs I question myself how come these youngens are not out getting laid? I just get tired of the attention whores!

It is becoming a everyday thing around here that I just shake my head now. I just wish people would sign up, introduce themselves and let the capping speak for itself. If we all did this, this would minimize all the bullshit. I know people don't like me, hell that comes with life you can not expect everyone to like you. It simple though, you don't like me don't go into my thread and I will stay out of yours. People are not stupid on here! Over time if you ignore these people they will just leave the site because they are not getting what they want. That is Attention! The thing there parents forgot to shower them with when they were younger!

I also wish that people used the general forum more. If you have a problem, post it here were your suppost too. It's not that hard.
