GP here is your answer to the question you posed to me.


GP- I personally have no problem with smooth, I never follow his picks, I in fact faded them or ignored them most of the time. The personal aspect of smooth that bothered me (and possible not others) was the CAPPING of his posts and blantant self-infalting of his "skillz" in his text. I just don't see the need to act like your 16 years old and in need of an ego boost via SHOUTING in your titles and pumping up your wins or ablilities in your messages. To me it is unessecary and only means that you are trying to hide something or seeking attention. I rarely ever read a smooth post that was humble. I would rather see posters pick games (and give reasons if that is their style) and post records and leave it at that. The whole FRIDAY picks are HERE!!!! thing discredits many other very valuable posters by drawing unnessecary attention to yourself. It all spells attention seeker to me. I rarely saw smooth post YTD's and (I could be wrong) I rarely remember him being as vocifiourous (sp) about a loss as he was about a win. I just think that rubs people wrong b/c it assumes that we are not smart enough to notice when you win and lose. I.e. you insist upon loudly telling us about your victories and softly dissmissing your losses. I could personally care less whether smooth stays or goes, but the silly aspect of this whole thing to me is that it has unnessecary idolatry written all over it. Smooth is no difffrent than any other poster on here, he wins and loses just like all of us; hte diffrence is in how everyone else goes about their winning and losing. Just post your picks, post your record, don't brag or boast about wins and leave it at that. We are all adults (I hope) who can decide for ourselves to fade, follow, igonore, comment or wish GL to whomever. My main problem is the boastfullness smooth encompassed, b/c as I said, if he posted his record (he never did) then everyone would see that he never won at such a clip to justify his chest thumping. I haven't even mentioned posting under multiple names or the TOP PICK crap. That stuff is just stupid. Multiple usernames accomplishes what? I again reeks of attention seeking and when you are pumping yourself up with multilpe identities then you have some serious ego issues, don't you think. The UC is awesome and will be awesome with or without smooth, he just grates people the wrong way b/c of his chest thumping "I'm the best" attitude when that is hardly the case. Another issue that folks had with smooth was that he'd get down on a play then come back later and say no action. That really pissed some guys off and cost them big coin. We're not playing here. Its real loot some of these guys are laying. I dont have time to answer the emails regarding this guy anymore. I hope people udnerstand the headache just aint worth it and thats one reason Im keeping out of this debate and minding my own business, not to mention, despite some not understanding yomonte, his issues with the poster in question are legit. Id be a complete asshole to have a guy working for us that was bad for the forum. Some may debate that, but ya gotta trust me on this, Yo is a sharp cookie that knows what he's doing. I just choose not to explain it for numerous reason, one of them being you CANNOT WIN A FORUM ARGUEMENT no matter who you are, including myself the guy that pays the bills here.
