It's 11:40 pm mountain time. I just read this. I wasn't bullshitting when i said i didn't surf much anymore. Anyway

Finding samples isn't very easy but also a lot of the samples you do find will be cheap. I get free sample CD's and i'm sure that some of them will have dj scratching samples on them. I'll check tomorrow I'm tired and going to bed now. I can't surf at work. i work from 730 am to 4pm.

Lets' say you hear a sample you like on a CD of yours and you want to sample it. You can play it in your comp. CD player and then use a program like "Recycle" by propellerheads to isolate it and then you can import it into whatever sequencer you're using.
Tomorrow i'll check my CD's for the scratching samples i'm sure i'll find it.

I have a virus on my computer. I'm trying to clean it out one last time and i'm taking it in to the shop while my service agreement still provides free coverage. I haven't been on the net'. I wasn't ignoring you or anything. Good luck with making music. Just read the manual for Fruity Loops and just practice. That's all i can say. It's not like i'm good at making music either or an expert or anything. If i was i would have made my demo of country songs all ready and become a millionaire. Only way to make money in music these days is to write "commercial" stuff. Rap would qualify.
Try to find what other people have composed On FL studio and then open up the sequencer editing views so you can see how they did it. Like how they did the drum parts, etc. REASON is just a "soft" studio like FL. Studio in software. I've only gleaned the manual over these past 4 years but when i see some of the results other people have gotten with this program it's really incredible. Professional quality. Even many people on music messageboards say FL has a better sound than Reason but it's debatable. I have 4 years worth of Mags and CD's with samples on them.

It's like buying a guitar. Pretty cheap but all it takes is practice to get good. You can even take out instructional videos and books from the library at no cost. The only thing holding back people is discipline. I am really interested in making music. I always come back to it. Even if only as a hobby. Sorry i didn't respond sooner. When it comes to finding those samples for you the sample cd's i have aren't organized so i literally have to look through each one to find stuff. I have to admit i haven't looked but i'll get around to it. Also for my sake as well. I'm taking my computer in to get wiped clean. It was running so well until wednesday but then all of a sudden it just got attacked or something. One of the things i have is a trojan named "StartPage-DC". On the McAfee website it says that it's new and was discovered may26 but also my McAfee thing got shut off for some reason. I didn't shut it off and had to reenable it. Maybe somebody sent it to me. I'm wary of posting online because of that but i think it was my own fault for getting it.

I've just been taking a "break" Dj T. You can understand that can't you?? I'll look for those samples. I actually know i have them because i thought it was cool they included turntable samples. Maybe in a month? (being realistic)
I'm going to buy a router or a switch if they can clean out my system. Maybe it can offer more firewall protection?
Just keep practicing thats' all it takes. Just like learning how to beat match and cut except harder lol. Good luck though. You always have positive posts. This whole smooth thing should have been taken care of long ago. Better to cut out the cancer in the finger than when it infects the arm. Good luck. I'm out.

Hell yeah no probs, whenver you get to it, let me know, it doesnt matter how long! In the meantime I will find some as well. Yeah it takes a long time to learn, but I am learning slowly!

Its good your getting your computer cleaned out! Yeah you can also buy a firewall to protect your computer - I have Norton Internet Security and that does a great job!
