Good Luck!!...We're most likely bucking heads on the Ascione/Kiefer matchup. Ascione has had a significant win on clay this season and Kiefer is pretty solid all around. Good Luck!!!!

i agree with you, kiefer is solid all around...he just hasnt had the results this year on clay playing 3 tourneys on clay in the past 2 months and going 1-3. ascione has had a little more success on clay and has played more tournaments recently. also, his losses on clay come to better talent (safin, hrbaty, and clement) than kiefer's (youzhny, volandri). also, you gotta factor in that ascione is a frenchman and will have the crowd behind him.


lol, the match im really interested in is the kuerten match. i dont know why this line isnt higher. im hoping to see another agassi type upset....but im only putting a little on it, just for the hell of it.

hopefully if we keep doing well throughout the tournament we'll attract more people to come over to this board. cheers :cheers:

The Kuerten-Almagro match will certainly be interesting. But I would expect Guga to get out of the 1st round. He's a crowd favorite and although he hasn't been playing great tennis and Almagro is a certain up and comer I think Guga's experience should get him by but it's definetly worth the shot. I think there will probably be more upsets on Tuesday then we saw on Monday.

In the Ascione match I do agree with you that Frenchmen play better but i find that the only reason to take Ascione in that match. You've got to admit Volandri is no push over. He won last weeks tourney so i can understand Kiefer's lost. I just figured it's a good price for Kiefer in a match i think he should win.

I'm actually taking Haas for tomorrows match vs Ferrero. I think there is a certain chance for an upset in that match because of Ferrero's current wrist injury. Haas is no cake walk and if Ferrero isn't in great form I think it's worth a shot as a dog. Especially if there is a chance that Ferrero might not even get through the entire match. I also went with Calleri over Safin as I felt it was a bad draw for Safin and that both have been playing well on this surface but Calleri has been playing very well this season and once again I felt it was a good price on a dog that had a very good shot to win.

365er- all i meant by all wagers are the amount to risk is that the units i have listed next to each play is the amount i am putting up. im sure you know, but for example if i have roddick (-150) and i bet 10 units, if he wins, i get 10 units and if i lose i lose 15 units. but if the line was (+150) and he wins, i win 15 and if he loses i lose the 10 i bet.

i'm liking all your picks too! especially the safin one!


corey- i like the call on haas. i may put that in before the night is over. the calleri match was a tough one too. calleri is tough on clay...but looking at safin's results on clay this year, they arent too bad. safin's had a good year so far, im just hoping he can keep his head screwed on for a little longer!
