Saturday at Ameriquest Field in Arlington

Heading out to the park for the Ranger game today. Going to get there early and watch some BP. Hoping the Rangers can run the record to 4-0 in games I have attended. The stadium will be packed full of nearly 50,000 fans (big turn out for the Rangers).
Hopefully the Yankee fans will be sneaking out early again today.

Going to try to get some autographs before the game. Be back with update later when we get home.

Arrived at the park at about 1:50 CST.

1 hour and 20 minutes before the first pitch. The stadium was packed early as we caught about the final 30 minutes of BP.

Sheffield cranked one about 440 just to the left of dead center-very impressive shot.

Drese looked very impressive for 4 2/3 giving up no hits. Then Bernie Williams hit a line shot just below the home run porch. The wind was whipping in from right field at 15-20 mph.

People say that wind blowing in here creates a jet stream blowing out at the right elevation. If you get it above the roof line, you're screwed.

Yankee fans were in full force with a ratio of what I would guess 40%. At least the ones that were wearing some kind of Yankee garb. One guy was wearing a Yankee ballcap and a Ranger T-shirt (go figure).

We were surrounded by Yankee fans in are section. This made the walk off home run extra sweet as they felt ashamed to be there. I just glared around and smiled as I watched it fly over the fence.

It drives me crazy how sports fans around here worship the Yankees. 90% of them have never even been to NY. I guess everyone wants to support a winner. Well, the Yankees are supposed to win with a payroll 4X the Rangers. For god sakes, Blalock and Young make a combined 1 million.

I sure these are the same fans that will go home and slip on there LA Lakers jersey tommorrow afternoon.

This had to be the best baseball game I have ever been to. I know it's just another one of 162, but these kids are good. A-rod didn't want to play with these guys. Why?

Would you rather go play with a bunch of sell-outs? These Rangers play the game like it is supposed to be played.

Sorry about the rant but I was so pumped up when we were leaving the stadium.

Hey LS, I knew he was back a few months ago and let him post. But his ego has not changed. He had a chance and did'nt run with it. If you would check his backwards thread in GD you will see a few months ago that I knew and never bothered him. This forum is really better off without him. There are so many cool folks here new and old that we don't need rat bastards. UC is running really smooth. There is a big difference from a rat bassard and a rat bastard, believe me. BTW, if I ever use the word smooth again, ban me LOL
