Oakland -1.5 (+100) (B. Anderson-L vs. M. Mulder-L) - Tonight Oakland sends Mulder to the mound to face Kansas City's Anderson. I expect both pitchers to go 6 innings tonight, with Mulder possibly going 7. My stats show the pitching matchup to favor Oakland with Mulder having a 3.45 overall ERA (4.07 last 3), 1.15 overall WHIP (1.15 last 3), and Oakland's bullpen having a 3.91 overall ERA (1.59 last 3) with a 1.40 overall WHIP (1.06 last 3). Compare that to Kansas City's pitching stats, with Anderson having a 6.97 overall ERA (8.22 last 3), 1.78 overall WHIP (2.09 last 3), and KC's bullpen has a 3.97 overall ERA (2.73 last 3) with an overall WHIP of 1.39 (1.29 last 3). KC has a slight hitting edge, with a hit/so ratio of 1.50 compared to Oakland's 1.33. Regardless, I like for Oakland to do most of their damage against Anderson, and I like for a possible final score of 7-4 in favor of Oakland.

Anaheim ML (-122) (E. DuBose-L vs. J. Washburn-L) - Anaheim sends Washburn to the hill tonight to face Baltimore's DuBose. My stats show Anaheim has the advantage in pitching tonight as Washburn has a 4.68 overall ERA (3.80 last 3) with a 1.36 overall WHIP (0.98 last 3). Compare that to DuBose's 5.20 overall ERA (10.66 last 3) and 1.49 overall WHIP (2.45 last 3). Also, Anaheim's bullpen has a 2.23 overall ERA (2.81 last 3), and a 1.10 overall WHIP (1.19 last 3). Baltimore's bullpen has a 3.97 overall ERA (7.50 last 3) and an overall WHIP of 1.51 (2.13 last 3). Baltimore has a slight batting edge with a hit/so ratio of 2.25 vs. Anaheim's 1.80. I like for Anaheim to get a few runs off of both DuBose and Baltimore's bullpen, and I like for a possible final score of 5-4 with Anaheim coming out on top.

Cleveland -1.5 (+109) (C. Sabathia-L vs. P. Abbott-R) - This game was OFF earlier but now that it's ON I'm going to make this play. Tonight Cleveland sends Sabathia to the mound to face Tampa Bay's Abbott. I feel Cleveland has a pitching and hitting edge which gives them a good chance to win this game by 2+ runs. Sabathia has a 2.03 overall ERA (2.61 last 3) with an overall WHIP of 1.05 (1.16 last 3). Compare that to Abbott's 6.21 overall ERA (12.41 last 3), and an overall WHIP of 1.51 (2.43 last 3). I feel the bullpens are fairly even, with Cleveland's available bullpen having a 6.85 overall ERA (5.31 last 3), 1.67 overall WHIP (1.23 last 3) and Tampa Bay's having a 4.47 overall ERA (5.10 last 3), 1.46 overall WHIP (1.45 last 3). Cleveland's batters also have an edge tonight with a hit/so ratio of 1.38 vs. Tampa Bay's batters having a 1.29 hit/so ratio. I like for Sabathia to go about 7 IP tonight, and I like for Abbott to only go about 5 IP. I feel Cleveland will do most of their damage against Abbott, and I like for them to get a lead early and hold on until the end.

Tampa Bay's manager actually made a good move!! He took Abbott out after just 3 IP!! What a call!! I was banking on him going atleast 5 which should have given Cleveland enough runs. Call of the night goes to Tampa Bay!! WOW!!
