I was suprised at some of the selections made today for this up comming's WORLD CUP of hockey. No offense to any Kirk Maltby fans , but I think Keith Primeau would have made a better addition. Did Wayne and his crew forget that Alex Tanguay was born in Canada????
MISSING IN ACTION:
Tanguay
Lecavalier
Primeau
McCabe
Nash
Bertuzzi --Yes I know what he did was wrong but come on !! Did everyone already forget about Dany Heatley and what he did??
Its going to be very interesting to see what line combinations Pat Quinn will use. Any thoughts?

I can't imagine what they're thinking by not including Primeau
who looks all-world right now. That goal he scored in today's
game was the type of game-breaking goal that only the great ones can score. How can Yzerman be on the team and not
Primeau? Gretzky is saying they wanted some older experienced
players to help steady the younger ones but Yzerman is just too
old and Primeau is not exactly young anymore, he's in his prime
right now and playing awesome hockey.
It just doesn't make sense....

What really sucks is the idea to post the roster during the middle of the playoffs....There are still plenty of good Canadian players remaining in the playoffs that still have 1.5 series to prove themselves. Primeau is the big one to me.....he has (after today) already equalled his reg season goal total in the playoffs at 7 and is, just as the previous post stated, one of the clutch players that Team Canada could use in a tournament style format. Think of what the Canadian players still playing in the playoffs who were not named to the roster are going through.....some r probably depressed to not see their names on that list and that could very well affect their playing ability from hereon out. Team Canada should have waited to see how the playoffs pan out before announcing the team so as to see who else could have emerged as a great clutch player and possibly add them to the roster...........Other than that the roster looks great....especially happy to see Lemieux on that list......Could u imagine a line of Lemieux--Iginla--St.Louis........can't wait til August.

I couldnt have said it better myself guys. Personally I would have chosen Primeau,Tanguay, and Lecavalier over Richards, Maltby, and Morrow. Keith Primeau and Vinny Lecavalier are out to prove there critics that they're for real and it's extremely disappointing to see them not on the team.
