What's up guys...haven't posted since college football. Btw, for those of you who gave me shit about Rivers at the beginning of the season...blow me! Just kidding! But that's my man, I'm damn proud of the kid.

Anyways, I've been reading these picks for the playoffs and recently been following the public betting vs. line movement because of posters like smooth.

Last night I noticed the public was ~75% on the over (LA/SA)...yet the line was moving from 180 to 179. So I loaded up on the under. Too bad I took the spurs -5.

My question is:

1. Is this because "smart money" is going on the under?

2. I use sportsinsights.com.....are the public #s correct

3. Any other trends to watch in regards to line movement?

Thanks, I've appreciated everyone's picks.

1. Yes
2. Yes

People might argue that #1 is wrong, but if its not smart money, its the bookies adjusting the line the right way and suckering more people.

P.S. Thank God the Giants didnt get stuck with Rivers!!!

I use sportsinsights.com.....are the public #s correct

It's a good sight. Just a tip though because that sights shows how many people are betting on the games and not the amount of money being wagered. If you look at the graph on the side and it shows the line for the public is jumping up and down all over the place and you know the game is a big game then that should give some more value to your play. If the line stays straight as an arrow or only one big jump you know a ton of people are not laying bets on that game and makes the play or the information they are giving a little less valuable.

I truely can;t wait for the day when you can see where the public is making all the bets and where all the money is at at the same time.

Public heavy on one side and the line moves the other way!

Good bet to play the movement......

Most important thing thought is the movement has to take place that day not as soon as the line comes out, that is usually just an adjustment by all the books to get on the same page!!!!
