74-79, -3.44 units
Played too many games yesterday and lucky to just lose a little. For some reason none of my side teams could score as I had three teams get shutout and one that scored just 1 run.
Boston under 7, 2 units-will wait til tomorrow and see if I get a 7.5
Pedro has dominated Cleveland going 10-1 with a 1.66 ERA in his career vs. the Tribe. He usally does pretty well after getting knocked around as he did in his last start. Sabathia is in great form right now allowing just a .170 BAA with a 1.61 ERA on the season. Sox haven't hit LHP real well this season at just .241 as we may see the likes of Kapler and Mirabelli in the lineup. Like the pitching matchup and think this one is a 3-1 type of game. Just hoping C.C. goes long enough to avoid the bullpen.
Mets -101, 2 units
SF has no business being favored on the road especially with Bonds out. He may be ready to play but they may just sit him again with a tough lefty on the mound. When Bonds is out guys like Grissom don't get good pitches to hit. Schmidt hasn't pitched real well after missing most of spring training and he threw 110 pitches last time out so think the Mets may hit him a bit. Leiter has been real tough to score on and the Mets pen has been good the last few games so like them to get the win at home as Herges has been pretty unreliable for SF as well.
Cubs -197, 2 units
Don't like to lay this much chalk but don't see the Cubs getting swept at home by the Dbacks. Clement is pitching as well as anyone right now and I don't think Arizona has the patience to draw walks against him as they have a lot of young hitters who will swing at anything. Dessens has been getting crushed and Arizona's middle relief has next to nothing with Valverde moving into the closer's role. Cubs should put up plenty of runs and get the win.
