YTD:#977 New York -135 Brown vs Zito x3
My stomach is tied in knots taking a favorite, let alone a road favorite.
I've got two more things going against me, line movement, and Mike Reilly umpiring behind home plate. I'm probably losing it.
Oh, I forgot, I try and stay away from nationally televised games. Three strikes against me. Looks like another good fade,
Not so fast my friend, as they say, from a former Indiana football coach.
To be honest, I struggled with this game until I saw the following points that might be foolish thinking, but I don't think so.
Trash my thinking if you want to, I'm welcome to comments on my twisted thoughts on this game.
NYY have won 7 in a row, including a home sweep of the A's last week. That includes last night's win at Oakland.
The Yanks bat's are finally waking up on this win streak, scoring 53 runs on this win streak of 7 games.
Kevin Brown is 4-0, but forget about that immediately! Don't let that stat figure into tonight's play. It's not that important.
Kevin Brown has a lifetime record of 2-0, 1-0 this year. Forget about it! Take a look at whip's, it will show you much more.
Barry Zito has lost his last 3 starts against New York, including his last start in 2004 against the Yankees. Not something to get to concerned about.
I would be concerned, taking Zito, knowing he gave up 15 ER in 10 innings over his last 2 outings.
I'd be concerned taking the A's with the Yanks bats improving, hitting over .300 against lefties.
I'd be concerned with the bullpen advantage, if I were taking the A's.
I had a little more, but want to get this out in plenty of time for comments or whatever.
