For the first round i have a 7 team parlay. pays 75/1 if they all win. Please comment on these picks. I am thinkin on putting down $100.
Redskins -1/5 over the Bucs-Bucs lost sapp/lynch, redskins picked up brunell and portis.
Falcons -2 over the 49ers- Michael vick is unstopable, 49ers lost T.O. and Garcia.
Chargers +4.5 over texans- chargers have tomlinson, now philip rivers and they got +4.5 a little risky but with +4.5 i think they'll make it
Chiefs +3 over denver- chiefs had a 9 game winning streak last season, but the broncos lost their whole offense (portis) and sharpe is about 500 years old. with +3 chiefs will cover
Ravens -1.5 over browns-Ravens defense will be able to stop the "new and improved" brown offense with Garcia and Winslow. Raven offense isnt bad either when both jamal lewis is healthy and boller is healthy
Lions +4 over bears- The Lions took care of their running problem by drafting Kevin Jones, and got Roy williams. Although both teams r pathetic, all the bears have is urlacher and a bad qb (chandler) while the Lions are young and fast.
Colts +3 over patriots- Colts are so close every time to beating the pats, and with pats losing ty law CB, the Colts with +3 should definitly cover the spread.
Please leave some feedback on my 7 team parlay. i look forward to pocketing $7k plus

I thought I was sick when it came to the NFL, I just found someone who is as sick as I am. LMAO
Patriots are going to be rock solid again and I look for them to start out strong. That is one of your selections that scares me a bit. I also think the best play on the Baltimore game will be the Under. That is usually a low scoring affair. Garcia may change all that though, I would be tempted to take Cleveland at home. GL

To add onto that Baltimore game. Jamal Lewis has a lot of question marks this offseason. Whether he plays and what not i do not know, but with the off season problems that he is having i wouldnt put any money in their favor.
All the other games seem to be looking good to me. But i may need to look a little closer.
GL!!!!!!!!

I have no idea when these games are being played. I just provide advice on the games.
isnt lewis, jamal lewis, in jail.....or isnt he going to jail?? or is that ray lewis?? there has to be someone important for the ravens that is locked up at any given moment....these guys should be wearing orange pantsuits with 6 digit numbers on their backs instead of purple......just a little fun during the off season boys!!

Chandler plays for the Rams now, not Chicago. I think the Bears are going with Rex Grossman this year. The Lions should be much improved this year but remember they will be a very young team. I'll be rootin for the Lions but as a life long fan I am always skeptical!

I glad someone else got arround to that point. Here is the thing though.........
The bears are implementing a new type of deep play offense and there is bound to be spots where the end up flakey where the lions QB is solid and if they pick up thier running game a bit watch out they could be a tough team.
I'm sticking with my home town boys in good hopes that the outstanding D comes back and shakes up the lions a bit.
Good luck with your picks!!!

To add some more thoughts onto the games
That Redskins/Bucs game looks really interesting to me. One thing that i know about the Redskins is that they ALWAYS do good in the offseason and it never comes through in the regular season. The Skins have no chemistry and this team most likely will take a while to click as a team on offense. I know the Bucs lost a lot of players but the defense will still be pretty good, and the redskins are gonna committ to the run. The Bucs should be pretty good against the run this year, even without sapp. I think that the skins could take a while until they come together. New QB, New Running Back, new coach with a new system.....dont think that they will be much of a force in the early going. Just my opinion.

It seems that i am drowning out this thread with opinions but i just like to look at the games and you can never start too soon. I really like that Chargers pick. I thought that this team would be much better last year and they let me down. I have very high hopes for this team this year. Tomlinson is a great back and he will break out even more this year. The chargers will surprise people this year, even though they are in a very tough division. I honestly dont know who will win that division but it will be exciting.

I thought they were going to better myself but managed to keep off them and picked up on a buddy of mines plays on New England.
I run a football pool/comp every year and he was staying alive by just betting NE. I'm glad I picked up on that because it added to the winnings quite a bit!!

thank you all for your replies. Yes I agree with some of you that the ravens pick might be iffy if one of the lewis' are in jail. i guess i will have to wait. All of my other picks i have full confidence in and i kno the falcons and redskins will lose a few more points as the season gets nearer, but i believe both of those teams will be outstanding as the year goes on. So unless a lewis is in jail for the start of the season, i will go with those 7 picks at 75/1 odds to get em all right. i am a kid so i am thinkin of layin down $100 on this (i just hope the first game played is not a loss). Even if i did drop the ravens game, 6 teams is still 40/1 odds. As for my hometown team the seahawks, if they are on the road, i am not putting down a dime on them, and lets hope the balding hasselback as some tricks up his sleeves to help the recievers stop dropping the balls! oh well, in a month or so i will post the new lines for you guys as they change every weeek depending on the news out their. Thanks again and wish me luck

Super bowl champions have a very bad record ATS in their first game the next season. I believe only 2 have ever covered. Unfortunately one of them was the Patriots 2 years ago.
