NHL Playoff Monday

Well, i had some nice information on PHI and posted most of it. Unfortunately, i was at a wedding all day SAT and for the 1st half of SUN, and unbeknownst to me, my post for weekend games had vanished.

Postseason stats:
1stRnd: 24-4
2ndRnd 7-6

5* 3-0
4* 5-1
3* 5-1
2* 4-2
1* 13-6
Propbets: 44-27-4

I am going to skip the side play in the DET/CAL game. I'm sure CAL will be the popular play. And, though they have outworked (that is the key, they haven't been better than DET, they have outworked DET, big difference) DET, i am not ready to give up on DET this year. I personally think DET wins this, but not willing to lay -160 to find out.

I lean to the under based on YTD and Postseason stats, but nothing has been going according to the way it is handicapped in this series. You are asking for too much to go right to play unders in the playoffs, IMO. I like the games TUES a whole lot better.

I will play these following propbets when the lines come out for the tomorrow. I will update these lines. I would think DET will put a TON of pucks on net, and i would reccomend this as probably the best play on the board. I will update it tomorrow.

Propbets:

DET first goal
DET over SOG (they had 21 in the 3rd period of game5. Desperate team that will put a ton of pucks on net tonight. This is the best play on the board today, IMO)

I have handicapped 2 plays for TUE that i really like. Gonna stop with the low budget 1* and 2* plays. If it doesn't rate 3* or higher, it doesn't get played.

PHILADELPHIA -130 over TORONTO

Add:

COLORADO +275 over SAN JOSE......COL has the swagger back and this is worth a shot at this point, IMO. Get game6 in COL TUES and anything can happen in a game7. Not likely, but possible and worth an almost 3-1 shot.

DETROIT +130 over CALGARY....Lets see if the veteran DET team wakes up, or if they are going to go fishing early, just like last year.

DET -135 first goal

DET over 30 SOG -125

CM- those are the only plays i am playing today. My lean in the game is to DET -145. I am playing DET, but i am tossing it in as part of a parlay. The other bets are series bets.

Shark- saw your other post in my thread from yesterday. Glad you won with PHI. Primeau and the PHI had a closed door meeting after game4, and that is a great "play on" cue IMO. Hopefully PHI will win this series and then you and i can do battle...LOL. GL

TEX (mlb) ML Kenny Rogers must start -155.......pays 2.85/1

I am playing DET tonight, but i mixed it into a small parlay. Feel real good about this one (the parlay that is...wings are the weakest of the 3 bets), hopefully it hits.

I can honestly say, if you added up all the NBA games i've watched this year, it doesn't add up to a full game. They should just put that sport out of its misery...and people bag on hockey???

Ute- i just don't understand how people crack on hockey. all these playoff games have a ton of emotion, overtimes, 1 goal games...JMO. I love hoops, but the NBA isn't hoops, it's crap. you're right.


Anyone remember the St. Louis/DET game 7 OT in '96/97 which was 0-0 until stevie Y ripped that blast from the right wing? That game was an epic game

I'll take playoff hockey over NBA ANYTHING all the time. College hoops are still mostly pure and right, and damn fun to watch. But I'm spoiled with that b/c my team had a coach who empahtically emphasized TEAM ball.

I just hated to go against you yesterday. But just had this feeling that Calgary did not want to go back to Detroit. They really pulled it out for me. Hit a tremendous 7 team parlay that paid very very nice!!!

DNAW-congrats on that winner. I didn't have a strong opinion on the game yesterday. I just stuck DET in a parlay with some other stuff. My best play yesterday, as i stated, was DET over SOG, which hit thanks to OT. GL today!
