Today is the beginning of the end for Barry Bonds, as he was today charged with perjury and obstruction of justice for allegedly lying when he said he did not use performance-enhancing drugs.
Many will say that Barry IS the greatest players of all time and point to his many gold gloves and career .300+ batting average. That puts him in the top 10 of all time, but what put him over the top was his prodigious home runs. That must be taken away, as it IS obvious to most that he used steroids to enhance his abilities, mostly with the power game.
It's a sad, sad end to a great career, no matter how much of a total jerk he is as a human being!!!
Good Bye Barry.

Despite Bonds being caught with steroids he is still one of he best players to ever play the game. Minus the home runs he is the best 4 tool play in the world. For a period of time he was the most dominating player on both sides of the field.
• Hank Aaron Award (NL): (2001-2002, 2004)
• All-Star (NL): (1990, 1992-1998, 2000-2004, 2007)
Even without the steroids and if you take away all his home runs he is still considered hall of fame material.
Example: Tony Gywnn 135 career home runs
Yes he is a dick but so was Ty Cobb and he killed someone

Barry Bonds should be considered a great ball player, until he's proven innocent or guilty!
His lawyer spoke to the media today at lunch time and he basically said"The feds don't have a leg to stand on". He got a chance to look at the case, and look at the evidence.
There's also Bonds's ex-trainer, who's currently in jail, says he will NEVER talk about MR.BONDS. "My client is never going to speak," said Mark Geragos, Anderson's attorney who has become famous for defending singer Michael Jackson, actress Winona Ryder and convicted murder Scott Peterson. "He has got absolutely no intention of talking." He's been in jail since November of last year and he could end up doing another year. The feds better have something good up their sleeves.
If he's cleared of any wrong doing.........he's in the Hall of Fame.
P.S. steroids don't make you connect with the ball...they just give you power(and a little wiener)

Guys he is going to hall of fame whether you like it or not. He has the Home Run records. He defeted Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds in this. He is sitting at him home with a fortune of money waiting to be added to the hall of fame.
