Lotta people like Penn today. No doubt public's "pick of the day" and I can see why. Harvard's leading scorer Cusworth was benched for the rest of the season last week for academics. Since, they've been struggling to make up that 17 PPG average. But with 2/3 of the public on Penn, the line hasn't budged a half point since it opened... I think I might know why... some trends to consider.
Last 5 Games after scoring 75+ Points
Penn is 0-5 ATS (1-7 YTD)
Last 5 games after scoring <75 Points
Harvard is 4-1 ATS
After a win, with the next game Away
Penn is 2-3 ATS
After a loss, with the next game at Home
Harvards is 4-1 ATS
After a win with more than 2 days rest
Penn is 1-4-1 ATS
After a loss with more than 2 days rest
Harvard is 2-1 ATS
Only thing I'm left pondering is how bad of a team Harvard has become without Cusworth, shooting under 40% since his departure. Harvard has covered the last 2 games, but before that was a 6 game run by Penn. The interesting this is that the most recent cover by Harvard, Cusworth didn't even play. The game was at Penn, (Spread -17) and they ended up only winning by 13. Penn is on top of the standings, and had no worries about winning the conference. I'm taking Harvard here first half, as Penn always pulls away late, along with the under. Just pissed I didn't get it at 153.5 last night like I should have. As for Cornell, Hughes isn't going to play for Yale it looks like. That means they're gunna take a hit on the boards by Naeve. Should be an easy win for the Big Red.
Picks so far today...
Harvard +5.5 (1H) - 1 Unit
Harvard/Penn Un. 149.5 - 1 Unit
Cornell +7 - 1 Unit
