A guy needs a 'buddy' in a country where it's legal to wager over the 'net. Here's how I'd envision this to work (and I'm sure someone is currently working on setting something up and make a billion dollars).
The buddy in the US sends the buddy, in, say, the UK, where wagering is legal, money through PayPal or some other trusted service.
The buddy in the UK sets up an account with the book for the US buddy. The US buddy can then simply log in and place wagers as they please. When it comes time to cash out, the US buddy can make the request if s/he'd like or ask the UK buddy to pull the cash out. Either way, the money comes out and the UK buddy ships it back via PayPal, etc., to the US buddy.
Of course, the buddies in question would work out some compensation for the UK buddy's time and effort.
I know some would argue that even though the UK buddy set up the account, the US buddy will still have problems making wagers via the net due to a US based IP address. Well, maybe I'm naive, but I don't think these books are looking to track this at the IP level - after all, they are more concerned with what law was passed - to block the financial institution's transactions from US customers. They aren't out there scouting for a buddy system. And even if they knew it was going on, do you really think they'd shut it down? They aren't breaking rules that the new law includes.
Anyway, it would require a lot of trust between the US buddy and the UK buddy...but I'm just saying....who knows. Now does someone want to start up this service - matching up trustworthy buddies and retire in a few years? I'd go halfsies with you!
