Get out the road sodas boys!!!!! Good luck tonight fellas!!!!!
UPDATED RECORD (all plays 1 or 2 units)
SIDES: 190-173-6 (+1.6 units)
TOTALS: 22-22-1 (-0.6 units)
TEASES: 17-28 (-20.1 units)
YTD: 229-223-7 (-19.1 units)
1 UNIT
Syracuse (+4). Not even really a homer play here, because I simply can't give any respect to UCONN. If there is one thing Syracuse can do, it's put the ball in the basket, and UCONN can't. Pack the zone in tight, and make the street ballers beat you with perimeter jump shots. If they do, it will be the first time all year they shoot straight, so hat's off to them if it happens.
Marist (-3). Marist is still the most talented team in this league, and on any given day Jordan and Whittington can dominate. Marist is a solid 5-5 on the road, and Rider is coming off an embarrassing DD defeat at the hands of the mighty Iona Gaels.
Loyola (+3). Fairfield has won 6 in a row or thereabouts, and they are 7-5 in league play but the record is indicative of an easy in conference schedule IMO. They haven't played Marist or Loyola even once yet, and they've only played Siena once aswell. The only quality team they've played twice so far is Manhattan and the Jaspers swept them. The Stags have beaten up on Iona twice, St Peters, and Canisius twice for 5 of their 7 conference wins.
New Mexico State (+1.5). A win tonight should lock Transfer U (NMSU) into the NCAA tournament, IMO. Under Coach Morrill, USU has a ridiculously gaudy home record, and this year they are 10-0 at home against D1 schools. Those 10 teams, however, are a combined 39 games under .500, and only Weber State and Utah Valley State (who???) are more than 1 game over .500. Better talent for the Aggies here, and with a big road win needed for the committee to talk about, this one is a must have for th at large birth hopes if they can't win the conference tourney.
