I dont have a crystal ball and can't forsee the future, however...

I would limit your balances at sportsbooks for the time being.

If and thats a big "if" a sportsbook is going to go under, it usually happens right after the super bowl.

Furthermore, with all the money transfer issues and problems going on in the offshore industry this adds even more risk.

I hate to say it, but it wouldnt surprise me if we saw a few of the smaller joints close up shop.

I personally would limit balance to something real small, probably just enough to cover my super bowl action.

It'd be the wise thing to do.

Thanks for the honesty Kevin. I completely agree with your thoughts on the matter. I don't bet any baseball so we basically have 6 months from the time of the end of hoops (college) until NFL and college football start to hopefully get some things worked out and in place. Hopefully by that time as well, the landscape will have settled a bit and we can see who is going to be around, who folded up shop and what our options are.

That's a good heads up. I don't think any of the top named sportsbooks are going to hustle anybody but I would not want to find out the hard way.

Kevin-Even the Greek? After Pinnacle I'm sure that is the case but any inside info there? I have a rather decent sum of money there and would like to know if a Sunday morning withdrawal request should be in order?

The 2 books that I feel have the least chance of closing on Sunday are Bodog and Sportsbook.com but that's just my opinion.

FYI...

Just processed my second withdrawal in January from Sportsbook.com with no problem. Check is supposedly being sent by FEDEX.

Unfortunately, when I closed my pinnacle account I put the money in Neteller where it rests collecting dust. My first withdrawal from Sportsbook went into 3Dimes. Monday may be an interesting day...be interesting to see if any books shut down in US.

Ol Mont needs some info on BetUs.com. They are a sponser of a sister site of UC. I thought that Betprestige was the sponser not long ago. Kevin, I know your in Hawaii. Give me a hollar when ya get back.
