4-6 yesterday as UConn snapping their home winning streak was quite untimely, and the late Wichita St and Oklahoma State adds were strokes of brilliance, haha! Good luck on Pac 10 Thursday, everybody!!! Here's the earlier stuff for now...
1 UNIT
Seton Hall (-3). Big game for Bobby Gonzalez with regard to recruiting the famed NYC Parochial League. As of now, he's probably not going to get a top tier talent because they will flee to bigger, better places (i.e. UConn, Pitt, Syracuse, ACC, SEC), but winning games like this against St. John's and the ones against Villanova and Rutgers gives Gonzalez more ammo for his big mouth and his big attitude. He's a sick recruiter, but his words only go so far and they need wins like these.
George Mason (-3.5). This is a very anti-UC Forum play as it seems everyone in here is on Towson, but I've seen both of these teams plays on more than one occasional this season and only one of them plays defense. GMU is having trouble scoring the ball, but Larranaga's kids get in your kitchen on the defensive end of the floor. Excluding an impossible game at Duke, in the last 11 games only 3 teams have scored over 60 points, and two of the results were because of late foul shots. If you think Gary Neal is playing defense, you are mistaken.
Hofstra (+9). The Pride looked great in the 2H of their victory over ODU. Big man Chris Gadley gave them an inside presence they've sorely missed due to graduation. These are probably the top two teams in a very solid Colonial conference and I think 9 points is a couple too many. If Stokes, Aguidio, and Rivera get any help from Gadley and/or Davis-Saab this will be a great contest.
Looking at the Pac 10 stuff now, and also Memphis/Houston and Fresno State/Hawaii.....
