Murray +109 over Ljubicic
As I have said before, I am a big Andy Murray fan. I think this is a good format for him as well. These two players are familiar with each other, having met three times in the last twelve months alone. Ljubicic has won two of three, including last week at the finals of Doha four and four. Murray has a solid return and gave himself plenty of opportunities to break Ivan's serve last week. He just was unable to capitalize on those. He broke just once in nine chances. If he can improve that number he should be able to come away with a win. Ljubicic came out last week slightly rusty, despite winning the tournament. He was in big trouble against Youzhny and lost the first set to Soderling before escaping both times. It is rare that you get such a chance for immediate revenge, but that is exactly what Murray has. He should be able to take advantage today against the hard serving Croat.
Nalbandian +103 over Safin
Another matchup pitting familiar foes. This is the tenth meeting between these two, with Safin leading the H2H 6-3. Nalbandian has won the last two and went down 7-6 in five sets at the Open, otherwise he'd be looking at three straight. Nalbandian is 5-2 lifetime at this tournament with one title while Safin is making his first appearance.
