The odds on that fight would have been crazy!!! Serra is counting his lucky stars he doesn't have to fight.

Cro Cop is a absoulte beast!!! He and Rampage have easy break in fights to get the UFC fired up about them. The most intrguing fight I see on this card is Lutter vs. Silva. I see an upset alert here. Lutter fights the perfect style to beat Anderson. I will post more detail and fight by fight predections.

eddiep
01-05-2007, 01:41 AM
j i think serra would have had a good chance with a 45 auto in hands,,lol i was countin on that as a gimme for a parlay.......cro cop is not losing to anyone in the ufc,,your right he is a beast,,the guy comes in with that blank stare on his face and destroys whats in front of him............i really want to see him fight the maniac!!!!!!!!!!!!!i think the only guy that might have a chance on his best day would be andrei arvloski,,not sure i would bet on it.....................your the seond guy to tell me silva might be in for a battle,,i know nothing about luther..........one thing i would like to see pre fight,,would be the actual fighter purses and also win bonus,,from there i think i could hit at around 99 percent................just take a look at some past cards and what each fighter was paid, also win bonus,, you will see what i mean................jardine had a nice win bonus,,,mcdonald also had a nice win bonus,,just two examples,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,for sure it would give a bettor an advantage with taking a few dogs..........spider silva really impressed me when he nearly killed ace franklin,,dont know if i have the nuts to bet against that guy.....look forward to hearing your take on the upcoming fights.........

eddiep
01-08-2007, 02:33 AM
just for fun i watched some old footage of spider silva vs jeremy horn,,,tell you what horn could not submit him on the ground, cant see lutter doing it either............and if he stands with silva,,i think spider knocks his head off with those long arms........just a thought anyway............

V3r1f13d
01-10-2007, 05:14 AM
The only upset I can see is with Travis Lutter.

When pressured by Fedor or any other figher, Cro Cop would go against the ropes in the ring, and then escape the pressure by sliding out. You can't really do that in a cage, but he shouldnt have a problem with the way the HW division looks right now.

eddiep
01-11-2007, 12:10 AM
i say silva kicks the crap outta lutter.............just watched spider vs horn...................3 rounds and horn didnt win even one of them,,,even on the ground where horn is at the top of the class he couldnt do anything....horn has fought just about everybody and has loads of ring experience......for me its either silva or no bet,,,lets face it he almost killed franklin and rich is pretty damn good in his own right............i have never seen a mans nose in that position on the face...........i will parlay something with silva no doubt he will be heavy fav..............crop cop i cant see losing to anyone in the ufc not his first few fights as i think they want to build him up...............rampage cant be the same after the last beating wanderlei silva put on him,,but i still think he gets the revenge win here............the other fights i havent look at yet,,we also have a fight night coming up as well with some interesting matchups.................when i find the card ill post it...........

V3r1f13d
01-11-2007, 04:00 AM
I don't see Lutter winning, I just think he has the best chance for an upset. Every other fight looks like a setup for bigger fights.

Pinnacle opened up early, and then closed everything as soon as GSP got injured. They had Silva at around -250 and Lutter at about +190.

eddiep
01-12-2007, 01:41 AM
i hear pinny is down,,,,,, have a look at 5 dimes its one of the only books i found to offer fight parlays, boxing, mma, ufc pride and so forth...........the lines are a bit higher but the parlays gives a small bettor like me a chance to bet the bigger lines..........hey we both know anything can happen in these mma events, for sure lutter has a chance,, but my money will be on spider,,after seeing what he did to franklin i just couldnt bet against him.........man i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

V3r1f13d
01-12-2007, 02:44 PM
The only problem I have with Silva is his best win outside of the UFC (in my eyes) was over Sakurai, and Sakurai is an a lower weight class.

B Level Pride Fighter = UFC Champ

The smarter is is Silva though, especially with a parlay.

eddiep
01-12-2007, 05:33 PM
will have to look for that one on youtube...........didnt know much about that fight...........i have to make some cash this time around,,the last ufc and pride my funds were way down and was forced to bet some small multi fight parlays.........hansen in pride and forrest and leben knocked me out.....leben sucked ass in that fight with mcdonald,,,,like joe riggs he is on my never bet again list.............lost with riggs twice before i got smart and bet sanchez in his last outting.............always liked riggs but i have no idea what happened to him as a fighter over the past year or so.................

And here is Rampage Jackson demolishing Liddell. Chuck was on his heels the whole fight and Jackson looks like he broke every rib Chuck had:

cro cop is a monster no doubt..i cant see anyone beating him in the ufc,,,you want too see something neat watch bob sapp vs crocop in k1...as far as rampage goes that fight with the iceman was awhile back.....while rampage was at his best with that win chuck did not peak yet imo anyways.........a rematch if it happens i think chuck will knock out jackson,,,chuck has gotten alot better since that fight,,and after seeing silva pound the piss out of jackson he looks to be on the downswing of his career............watch wanderlei silva vs jackson if you get a chance, the second fight..........

Glad to see this much activity on UFC 67
This seems like a pretty easy card to call. Here are my early predictions.
Anderson Silva Vs. Travis Lutter
Silva 2nd rd submisson.
Going on an edge here, people seem to forget anderson is a BJJ Black Belt. Lutter will be shooting all day as he has would probably get his head smashed.
Mirko Cro Cop Vs. Eddie Sanchez
Cro Cop KO rd 1. Really only 1 reason Sanchez takes this fight, my guess he was told take this fight or no fight ever in the UFC. He probably got a couple fight deal for this card. Was it worth a dented skull???haha Write this one down Cro Crop will be heavyweight Champ and Light Heavyweight champ by this time next year.
Quinton Jackson Vs. Marvin Eastman
Rampage RD 1 KO. Read comments above for Cro Cop. UFC are serving up some bums to showcase there new talent.

I know I called for a possibe Lutter upset, but it is very distant chance. And Tim Silva stinks he is scared on Cro Cop, and all other heavyweights in Pride and K1. The "Manic" actually turned down a fight against Fedor.....This is why Tim will lose to Randy Couter, because he sure does not want to fight Cro Cop.

Rampage will fight Liddell next, and beat him. Chuck is old and I know he looked great against Tito, but Rampage is a different animal all together. Kudos to the UFC for spending some $$ to start bringing in top notch fighters

V3r1f13d
01-19-2007, 11:24 PM
Current Chuck beats Current Rampage

eddiep
01-20-2007, 01:10 AM
v3 i agree chuck will ko rampage if they fight again........the ice man has improved very much since that fight,,,,andi dont think rampage is the fighter he was back then............wanderlei silva kicked the crap out of rampage,,i think the ice man will also..............should be interesting.............as far as tim sylvia i have never liked him and even though aa lost two out of three to the maniac i still think aa is the better fighter hands down................aa had him dead to rights in the second fight as well but let him off the hook!!!!!!!!! should have finished him off when he starched his ass,,instead of trying to hug him on the ground,,,still for the life of me i have idea what aa was trying to do??? then he let him up and walked into that haymaker.......................

eddiep
01-20-2007, 01:13 AM
jc i agree with all your picks in 67,,, cro cop and jackson odds will be high no doubt,,will need to parlay those............silva i saw at over -300 a few days ago............i dont see any of these three losing..............

jcaleo
01-21-2007, 08:28 AM
Rampage will beat liddell. Wanderlai and Chuck are 2 different fighters. I will take the age difference of Rampage. Wait till you see him in UFC 67, you will see what I mean.

When this fight happens and Rampage is the dog probably at -150 ish I will take the bank..hahaha...

Can't wait for that fight.

eddiep
01-22-2007, 12:38 AM
jc one never knows.........where are u betting mma at??? 5 dimes offers parlays but really pissed me off they didnt past the ifl cage matches,,,,,,,,,,,,i would have cleaned up as everyone that was favored to win did so............that dude faber can really fight,,what a mean little bastard:thumbs:

eddiep
01-22-2007, 12:42 AM
rampage will be more than plus 150 vs chuck you can count on that.................and wanderlei is an animal but his arms would be way to short to contend with chuckie,,and forget him taking chuck down it wont happen,,the natural couldnt do it nor tito...........should be interesting no doubt,,,,the main thing is we make some money...........god knows ive lost a ton in the nfl this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maniac34
01-25-2007, 07:26 PM
chuck will take down rampage and wanderli. The only fighter who could possible take down the iceman in that weight class is maurico sho-gun

V3r1f13d

Sat 2/3 Mirko Cro Cop vs Eddie Sanchez
Mirko Cro Cop -1151
Eddie Sanchez +851

Quinton Jackson vs Marvin Eastman
Quinton Jackson -661
Marvin Eastman +601

Sat 2/3 Anderson Silva vs Travis Lutter
Anderson Silva -351
Travis Lutter +321

They are barely giving Sanchez a chance. Cro Cop has zero cage experience, the odds should be a little closer than that. Cro Cop should still win this via Rd1 KO though. Rampage vs Eastman seems about right. Lutter looks enticing, but I'm not playing that one either.

Helps that I have family in Canada :)

Pinny always gives the best MMA and Boxing lines...
They bought out Oddessa (ran by Joey from a popular mma forum) and he's always been kind with the lines.

btw while i have your attention,,, who you like??? havent even looked at the undercard yet

V3r1f13d
01-30-2007, 01:32 PM
I like the 3 favorites.

In order of upset, if it were to happen would be Lutter, Sanchez, Eastman. I don't think there will be any upsets, but Lutter has the best chance, and even though the odds dont say it Sanchez has a better chance than most people think. No more dancing on the ropes for CC. He evades flurries by pushin up agaisnt the ropes and slipping out. That wont work anymore. I really want to see how he does in a cage.

Hoger vs Machida wont be shown, which pisses me off.
Tyson Griffin wont be shown either, which is too bad.

Im looking forward to Prides next card more than this UFC card.

May even consider Martin @ 2 Units.

I made some cash on the last one, so I'll throw it back to the man in this one:

Lutter +275

Eastman +415

I don't think Eastman has a shot, but +415 on him isn't a bad bet IMO. Just something to make it fun to watch.

I love Martin, like Smith.

I feel ref stoppage in mid 2nd for Martin. Rivera has looked pretty bad his last couple fights, even though he won he has not looked good. I honestly thought Martin would come in as the fav here. If you can watch the weigh in, though Rivera is taller look at the stock. Martin will come in the fight probably 8-12 lbs heavier than Rivera. Martin strikes harder and that is what will win the fight.

Smith and Cote is going to be the best fight of the night.
Cote has yet to win in the UFC, and I think there is a reason for that. Smith had one of the best KO's in UFC history over Sell. Smith is the better striker, both stink on the ground...you do the Math.

Final Bets placed
Martin 2 Units +170
Smith 1 Unit +115

The other fights do not have enough value for me to place wagers on. Although I feel Lutter has a chance tonight. He came in heavy lost the title shot, Silva may take this fight lightly and Lutter is furious (I would assume) over losing that chance, and we all know the only way to get another chance is to beat Silva tonight. But laying off that one.

Also, there is a promotion at the arena tonight, whoever catches Eddie Sanchez's head after Mirko dismembers it wins 2 hot dogs and a Sprite:beer2:

Ya, Grffin didn't live up to his hype.

Lutter won the first round, and got tooled in the second.

My local bookie wont take UFC bets anymore (I couldnt bet anything) because I guess he doesn't get enough action on it. I hate online betting, but I guess that's my only option for MMA that is...

Although the card was mostly dominated by favorites and turned out the way most thought they would, as a fan I was very excited to see the UFC paying the money toget the great fighters. the additon of Cro Cop and Rampage will make them tons of loot and give us fans some great fights. Hats off to the UFC for a great card IMO. Hope you guys made some loot, either way Im pretty sure everyone enjoyed the fights! :yeah:

Swick deserves a title shot. He has proved himself to be an elite out of the TUF class. At MW Swick is really the only one I can see standing up to bang with Silva, other than that...I can't see anyone. Maybe Tanner can make a comeback, but I seriously doubt it. David Lousiea just can't seem to pull the trigger in there, he has so much more than he has recently shown.

So you're done with betteting Eddie? Sure, we all say that. Win or Lose, we still play. I did really well in the NFL this year, probably the best season I have had throughout my NFL betting years. I could be doing better in hockey, but I fell for a couple traps and am a little behind in the NHL (nothing major). I can't wait for baseball to start, hopefully I can tear it up. I did extremely well in baseball last year (it's actually my preferred sport). Boxing is all year around.

I really hope Margarito opens as the underdog in the Cotto fight. I have been waiting for this for years, but they don't look the same as they did years ago :bang: Margarito looks worse and Cotto looks a lot better, so I guess it kind of evens out.

I personally don't give chuck much of a chance against Wanderlai. I watched chuck verse Rampage a while ago, and chuck can not take a punch of that power, that fight with Rampage didn't even get into the 3rd min before chuck was throwing in the towel, going to the hospital with his face mangled. My opinion Wanderlai all the way.

Thanks for the insight on pinnacle, i didn't know that they parlayed fights also.

Vera is no longer with the UFC.
They wanted to sign him to a long term contract (and give him a shot), but it wasn't enough money for him.

Actually, my information is half incorrect. He has one fight left under contract (expires in September, but they may elect for him not to fight is he doesn't re-sign). The money part (not enough to re-sign) still stands.
