3-3 yesterday, ruining a potentially bigger day with a stupid ass late add of Florida International. Still won 1.05 units on the day though. Night Befores:
Providence +5 +103
2 units
Florida State, too me, seems like a team that has historically played much better at their home arena rather than times they've left it. This game will be in Tampa, which is still a decent drive from the panhandle for the 'Noles. Providence is coming in to the game shooting over 50% in 6 of their last 7, with the only time they didn't coming at Florida(43.1%). Florida State is at a big rebounding disadvantage in this one, as they only average 31 in all games while Providence pulls in 39 boards per contest, that could lead to a lot of second chance points for the Friars who out rebounded George Washington 51-27 earlier this year and have only let teams get 30(and never over 35) rebounds in 4 of their 11 games. FSU is only 1-3 ATS this season when playing a team with a winning record, with the lone cover coming at home against the Gators in their annual big home upset.

The following is an excerpt of an article in the providence journal newspaper. www.projo.com . It does require registration to view.
In the age of the Internet, rumor and fact are often blurred.
That's what happened yesterday as Sharaud Curry and Geoff McDermott were named in a fan messaging system that sent shockwaves through the hearts of PC fans everywhere.
At midday yesterday, a fan Web site had a note that read, "Curry and McDermott suspended. Out 7-10 games. Violation of team rules."
The posting generated more than 11,700 page hits even though the veracity of its content never was attributed as fact. Both players were made aware of the "rumor," as was coach Tim Welsh . Both players were in the lineup last night, and Welsh said he "has no idea" what the fan was referring to.
"I have not been told there is a problem with any of our players," he said. "Now exams ended Tuesday, so all the grades aren't in on campus, but they played a game tonight. If there was an issue, we would've addressed it now."
While several sources associated with the PC program said they were unaware of any looming suspensions, speculation exists that an issue may emerge once grades are posted. Asked last night if he'd seen the Web site, Curry said he hadn't. "Someone told me about it. I have no idea what that's about," he said.
I will say being from RI I've seen quite a few PC games this year and when Curry is not in the lineup their offense seems very sluggish but when he is in the energy of the whole team rises and the offense runs much smoother. If he does play they should be able to handle Fla St without too much problem. I look for them to be a big surprise in the Big East this year especially if Randall Hanke(leading scorer, shotblocker, and rebounder last 10 games last year) makes it back this year.
Good luck to you on this Nittany...GO FRIARS:yeah:

Thanks Fellas, Providence has a great shot at being a SU winner, but I don't got the cajones to play them on the ML. Another:
Illinois State +3 +104
1 unit
Another home dog in the MVC where the home teams are TOUGH and Illinois State is 6-0 this year at home. Ill State is coming off a win on the road at Illinois Chicago and have beaten St. Johns on the road. Their shooting percentage against and for themselves go up substantially when at home, like most MVC teams. Southern Illinois only scores 61 PPG on the road and Illinois State is only giving up 53.9 PPG.
