UW Whitewater ML +103
Mt. Union will likely be a big public play due to their reputation but the Warhawks of UW Whitewater are the best team in D-3 this year. RB Justin Beaver, who rushed for 2400+ yards last year, is the key to the game. If he is back to 100% they will be able to run the ball at will against the Purpe Raiders as he is a load to bring down. Whitewater's 4-2-5 scheme should be able to keep enough speed on the field to neutralize MU's 2-headed monster at QB of Jorris(the passer) and Micheli(the runner). They have speed at the LB position and hitters at the safety position. Jorris will be shorthanded in a way due to their top reciever Pierre Garcon wearing a caast in practice all week last week and this week(he only had 1 catch for 3 yards last week due to the injury). And finally the Warhawks have an advantage in the motivation department. Every team in D-3 dreams of knocking off the goliath that is Mount Union, and what a better year to do it for UW Whitewater than in their long time head coach's last season coaching at his alma mater. They will be fighting to get him a title in his 22nd year at the helm.
