Positive yesterday, looking for another night on the + side...looking at the Charlotte/Orlando game. At first glance I had a lean to the Bobcats, just because they kept it close last night in Cleveland, & the fact that they are a homedog. Since Brevin Knight returned, this team has looked a bit better, & Morrison now coming off the bench seems to have helped as well. Both teams are coming in off a loss last night, & Orlando is suffering from quite a few injuries. Grant Hill likely out for tonight, & Nelson & Bogans are questionable. However, they still have Howard, who in the last meeting had 24 pts & 21 boards....Okeafor is a solid defender, but is mismatched here nonetheless & he also played a hefty 40 minutes last night...I would expect Howard to get many touches tonight, & if Okeafor gets into foul trouble early (something he is prone to do) the Bobcats have no answer at all for Howard. Some numbers for both teams.....
Two of Charlotte's 5 wins came on a on a b2b, once vs the Spurs (who were coming off a road win vs Houston) & once vs the Cavs (off a road win vs SA)... although both teams were off b2b as well, Charlotte caught them off big road wins. This year the Bobcats are incapable of stringing together 2 good outings in a row. They are 1-4 su & ATS following an ATS win. Only one time they covered 2 in a row, after beating the Cavs they lost by 2 in ot to Boston. Orlando is no Boston folks, & Charlotte is 3-8 @home.
Since beating the Kings su as dogs, they have gone just 1-4 su & 0-5 ATS. Losing in Indy, vs Det & red hot Phx was expected to me, although last nights loss to the Raptors is a concern. I knew they would come back down to earth, but the Bobcats may be just what the doctor ordered for the Magic. Orlando has yet to lose su on a b2b game this year, & are 2-0 on a b2b of a loss, beating the Kings by 3 after losing to the Hawks, & beating the Wolves by 12 off a loss to Indiana. I'm going with the Magic to win by more than 7...could be close for the game but IMO the Magic will win this one. I know this is a public play, likely with sharps hitting the Bobcats, but I have to go with the Magic- they are currently -2+100 @ Pinny, & -120 on the ml. Gonna wait to see if I can get a better line...I also have a good lean to the Spurs under. I liked the Warriors @3, but now sitting at 4.5, I'm not sure I'll make a play-could be a 1stq play for me.
