West Virginia -12... (could of got 11 last night)......2 units

This is a bad matchup for Duquesne. West Virginia is a very sound, athletic,basketball team who can really shoot the ball... 9th in the country in 3 pt fg's made per game.

Duquesne has struggled against the 3 ball so far :186th in the nation in 3pt FG %.

Also, WVU has played some good defense lately giving up about 60 pts a game in it's last 4 ball games. 3-1 in those last 4, with wins over West Mich,Montana,NC St and the lone loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

And West Virginia is impressive. They are long, with newcomers (guys not in the full time rotation last year) :Butler,Alexander,Ruoff and they can all shoot the ball. Young is a good player and Nichols is back to run the show.


I like their versatility, they got guys who can play multiple positions and who can flat out score. And Summers is a good space eater in the middle,7 footer with "some" skills.

I look for them to have a good year. Very well coached

now Duquesne on the other hand is BAD , REAL BAD

They turned it over , every other time up the court. They have one player. Freshman out of Brooklyn can really play. Fade them all day long at home,expecially against teams close to Pittsburgh. I would have to say , other than the student section , WVU had more fans.
