The spread is Rutgers -7 to -8
I like Rutgers. They are almost an elite team and KS just got hammered by Kansas 39-20. They did beat Tx though, but I am attributing that to Tx getting rattled by early injury to their QB.
What still worries me is Leonard's hamstring injury, and that putting money on a team so early then having someone get injured in practice over the next three weeks.
If Leonard is healthy, the Rice Leonard tandem may be impossible for KS to stop.
Any thoughts?
And by the way, my first post here. Great site and pretty impressive pick records. Looking forward to more great analyses (the spell checker doesn't like analyses, but Google has 136 M matches, so I will stick with it...)

Well hey there newb, I'm from the area so I'm probably biased but I can see Kansas St. winning straight up. Don't under-estimate the home crowd advantage they will have. K-State has a pretty nasty defense and a young offense. I can see Rutgers struggling offensively, K-State will cover this IMO.

It is about 600 mi from Wichita to Houston, so I am not sure about the home field advantage. But it does seem that KS will have more fans in the stadium than Rutgers for whatever it is worth.
I am not rooting for any particular team in this game, I am a Bucks/Big Ten man. Just trying to find a good game to put money on. Would have no problems with KS winning IF I did not have money on Rutgers!
Right now Rutgers ATS looks like the best bowl bet, which is not to say it is good enough. I prefer betting on limited number of games I can be sure about, which is why I am 5-0 this year.
GL with your picks!

Don't forget about the fact Rutgrs went from being in a BCS game to playing in a blow job game because of a three overtime loss. I see them coming in flat (they have to see this bowl game as being waaaay below them after the season they had) and getting smacked by K State.
I'm probably gonna take some moneyline action on K State along with the points.

On the contrary I think there is a lot of excitement around Rutgers about the upcoming game with TV coverage being an issue. Even one of the two NJ Senators has got into the act. Also Rutgers has never won a bowl game, so this would be an achievement for a team. Finally I think the Rutgers coach has a winning attitude and won't take this game lightly.

After more thought I am picking Rutgers to cover the spread (which is -7.5).
Go Knights!

I wouldn't count on that either. RU has a HUGE following here in NJ and they will travel alot of fans as this team has won the hearts of everyone locally and even many nationally.
GL if you guys play the game!
