YTD: 1-2 -- -2 units
Having a hard time keeping up with the hoops with two little ones. Capping takes more time than I've got. Really trying to whittle down and focus on fewer teams/games. Here is what I like tonight:
Xavier -9 v. Miami -- 2 units -- Miami played Illinois tough and hung in there at Rupp Arena against UK. At first glance, I thought the line was too high. But I like X to come out tonight against an instate rival and take it to them. X will want to blow Miami out of the water...which is something both Illinois and UK couldn't do. When you're a team like X, a big win against a team who stayed close to the big boys can be a type of vindication. I think X is too deep and will pull away in the second half for a double digit win.
SLU +149 v. Loyola Chi -- 1 unit -- I'm pulling the trigger on SLU winning this game straight up. I think they have the experience and physical style of play to make this a low scoring slobberknocker. I'm not sure what happened against A&M but the Billikins are a better team than that.
Gtown -5 v. Oregon -- 1 unit -- I think GTown is one of the better teams in the country. I'll give the 5.
