Michigan State Spartans (6-1)

Michigan State is coming off two big blowout wins vs Oakland and Vermont with the winning score being more than 20 points in each. Before that they came off their only loss vs Maryland when they lost by a score of 62-60. In their two other games they were able to top Texas 63-61 and pound The Citadel 74-41. This season Michigan State is 6-1 straight up, 2-4 Agaisnt The Spread in their last 6 on the road. And are 3-0 this season ATS at home. Michigan is also 2-4 straight up in their last 6 on the road. The Spartans are scoring over 66 points per game and are ranked a very low 174 in the league. Their near the top with 38 rebounds per game good for 30th slot and are shooting 45% which gives them 122 rank overall. They have a very strong defense ranked 7th in average score against 51.2 points per game, 15th in rebounds allowed 24.3 and 21st in FG% allowed with opponents shooting 35.4% per game. Michigan has a clean injury slate and are well above team average in the entire league in Defense. This will be key to beating Boston College tonight.

Boston College Eagles (2-2)

Boston College is 3-2 in their last 5 games straight up coming off an 18 point win cs Rhode Island 86-68. However before these two games BC lose two games to Providence and Vermont by more than 13 points each game. Boston College is 10-1 Straight Up in their last 11 games and the only game they lost was to Vermont 77-63. This shows that their home winning streak is breakable and does not play as big a role as initally thought. Boston College does not have a brutally strong offense scoring 74.5 points per game and is ranked 88th in the league. BC grabs 36.5 boards for 53rd in the league and only shoots 45.5% per game and is ranked 111th overall. Boston College has a very weak defense not breaking the top 80 in any category. Their allowing 66.3 points per game for 116th, 30 rebounds per game for 140th and are allowing their opponents to shoot just over 40% which is good for 84th in the NCAA. In order to win this game BC's weaker offense needs to keep putting up the points they have been agaisnt this very strong Michigan Offense.

Statistical Matchups:

Michigan State is scoring the same amount of points that Boston College is allowing per game.

Michigan State is allowing 21 less points than Boston College is scoring per game, 4 times the spread.

Michigan State is out shooting and out rebounding Boston College[i] by at least [i]12 ranks in the League Rankings.

Michigan State is dominating every single defensive category by atleast 65 ranks all that way up to their 7th to Boston College's 138th ranked Scoring.

Prediction:

Michigan State is dominating statisically in every category except scoring points. However their defense is allowing 21 points less then the Eagles are scoring. Michigan State should be able to put up their usuall 65 points and with the spread will force the eagles to score 71 points which is 20 more than Michigans Defense allows.

If the Spartans defense can hold this game I see no reason why Michigan can't win let alone with the points their given. The only reason I see Michigan getting 5.5 points is because Boston College is 10-1 in their last 11 at home.

Pick:

Michigan State +5.5 points. 50 UNITS

That game was never clsoe in the 2H upperhand, sorry to say. tough one, but it's not like it was a heartbreaker since MSU got dominated for the most part. Good luck tomorrow!
