RAS Added Info (Information Purposes Only)

Illinois - Starting guard Jamar Smith returned to play 17 minutes off the bench in last game after missing previous five games with an ankle injury. Smith currently leads the team in scoring at 16.5ppg. Starting forward Brian Randle (groin) remains out indefinitely. Starting point guard Chester Frazier played high school basketball in Baltimore but was not recruited by Maryland. He is very eager to face the Terps Tuesday night.

Maryland - Starting F/C Ekene Ibekwe (ankle) is questionable Tuesday vs Illinois.

Alabama - Starting guard Ronald Steele (knee) is questionable Tuesday vs UL-Monroe.

Penn State - Top player Geary Claxton (finger) missed several games and returned in last game with a brace on his hand that effects his shooting & dribbling. He is expected to be used mostly as a defensive and athletic presence vs Georgia Tech Tuesday. Reserve guard David Jackson (ankle) remains sidelined indefinitely.

Georgia Tech - Starting forward Jeremis Smith (ankle/knee) has been upgraded to expected to start Tuesday vs Penn State.

Arizona - Reserve center Kirk Walters (mono), a starter last year, is out indefinitely. Reserve guard J.P. Prince (personal) missed last game and is questionable Tuesday. Reserve forward Mohamed Tangara (eye) missed last game and is questionable Tuesday.

New Mexico State - Starting forward and last year's leading scorer/rebounder Tyrone Nelson (hand) remains out Tuesday vs New Mexico. Reserve forward Hatila Passos (knee) has returned to practice but remains unlikely to play Tuesday vs New Mexico. Starting guard Elijah Ingram (Achilles) has not practiced this week as he continues to rest his injury but is expected to play.

Duke - Reserve forward Jamal Boykin (mono) is out indefinitely.

Long Beach State - Starting guard Kejuan Johnson suffered a broken nose in practice last week but still played in last game vs USC and is probable Tuesday vs UCLA.

Furman - First year head coach Jeff Jackson was an assistant at Vanderbilt for seven years and will return to face the Commodores tonight.

Vanderbilt - Starting center Alan Metcalfe (foot) is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
