Thankse nader. It's not like STL is any good either. All those Columbus snipers gotta start scoring sometime right? Attention Rick Nash.

Man, am I thirsty today at work. LOL. And as you can see from my first post in this thread, to my second, I didn't get much sleep. Damn Crown Royal. LOL
Add one more...
Stars -0.5 goals (reg) -120 vs Coyotes 2 units
Stars were one of the hottest teams in the league before back to back losses in Vancouver and Calgary. A nice way to end that losing streak is a stop in Phoenix to conclude their road trip. Much stronger team in green with Turco playing all-world. Phoenix having trouble in net, with Cujo and his 4.40 GAA starting tonight (Gretz has yanked him mid-game the past 2 games because of poor play). PHO got their bi-weekly one win already last game with a 6-4 victory over LA. LOL. Dallas dominated an earlier game this year in Phoenix with a 4-0 shoutout. I see another blowout win tonight.
GL
I love you all. :jig:

I also like Anaheim against the Canucks tonight.....Vancouver is very thin on the back-end, and could be starting 3 young greenhorns in the 4/5/6 spots. Nader....you have a take on your Canucks tonight? Could be tough facing a good Ducks team with all that youth on D.

I'm not Nader but I am a Canuck fan.
A couple radio guys were hinting yesterday that Anaheim has such a great record because of the teams they have played.
Over the last few seasons I would assume the Canucks would win every game but I don't think that way anymore. I only took Van over Dallas because Turco wasn't in net but I would stay away from this one. Or take the Under -- Vancouver just can't score.

Thanks for the info Benrik. That's interesting....I looked into it, and they have had quite an easy schedule with only 2 "quality" wins over Detroit and Minny. Still got to win the easy ones too I guess.
I don't like totals, but maybe the Under is the play instead. I will be putting a play on one or the other. :dunno:

I get the feeling like Vancouver could bust out of their scoring slump at any time. The players all admit they are getting their chances but nobody can score. Like last game, Bieksa's goal was a fluke from centre ice and their second goal only came after Ohlund hit the post from a foot away and Pyatt managed to put one top corner. Now they're going against an equally solid Anaheim D. I'm hesitant to play the under myself because I am so used to Vancouver being a team that surrenders a lot of goals and I think at home they may have the tendency to get a bit too casual with their work ethic and this could lead to Anaheim scoring chances.
I'm going to lay off (probably) and jsut enjoy watching the game.

You might be right.....Dallas coming off 2 losses, Phoenix coming off a win.....seems like a nice spot.
Thanks Mississauga.

appreciate you being the bigger man in this.... you explained you were drinking and admit what you did... me saying the right play when a team losing is valid in some cases, example with the ottawa/capitals play... they lead most of the game and give up a goal with less than a minute then lose in overtime.. ottawa should have won that game...as for yesterday its a different story, i thought it was the right play considering the goalie atlanta was putting and it showed, he got smoked.. BUT atlanta put in lechtonen which was a great move and thus shut-down ottawa.. NO hard feelings to ya, always love you hockey and football capping. Here's to a successful season... going to drink a BLEWWWWW to that tonite lol

And maybe your right....cause that Ott/Was game, Ottawa WAS the right play.

Well, screw it....I like Anaheim, and I see 1/2 is on it as well....I'm adding it...
Ducks -140 vs Canucks 2 Units
See above, and 1/2's thread. Plus with the two Norris winners getting 30+ minutes a night, and the rock solid goaltending, Anaheim is so damn strong.
GL....big night for me, $300 riding tonight.

GL JML!
Love your first two...but I don't know about the Ducks. I was leaning Vancouver earlier today. I think with Luongo at home...this game could go either way.
JohnnyMapleLeaf
11-09-2006, 04:00 PM
Ang.....Vancouver playing all those kids on D doesn't worry you? That's a big part of my play.
Angelus
11-09-2006, 04:06 PM
It does, which may be the reason I'll lay off this one. I just think the style the Canucks play could counteract the kids on D. I know there are a lot of Vancouver fans here who don't want people to think they trap...but they do. 9 of the last 11 Canucks games have had 5 or less goals scored. I just think at home tonight, with Luongo in goal, and everything going right for Anaheim...I'd rather have money on the Nucks than Ducks.
Just my opinion. But since I'm laying off, I hope you win it.

Hey Gl JML!!! as for canucks, this is going to be a difficult game to win tonight. Their back end is so banged up, they look like they have the entire Manitoba ***** defence playing in this game. Here are some of the names: Edler, coloumbe and mcivar all have a combined 2 game experience. Your factor in Bieksa first year full time with canucks and you have Krajicek is still very young. Ohlund is the only solid defence and I love the way he plays. Their forwards seems to get and create a lot of chances but men they can't finish. It seems after the sedins line and naslund. We have a bunch of forecheckers with speed that just don't know how to score goals regularly.
The good thing going for them is they have a solid coaching staff that prepares their players very well, they put their players in good situations to succeed. Their system is good in that keeps them close in every game they play. They get great goaltending, defensively they keep it simple and they hope they can chip in 2-3 goals and a night and hope that luongo doesn't let any. Hard for me to back them up today. Even playing the under 5 is not easy play because I could easily see a 4-2 game here for anaheim.

Yeah. nader...I read about those kids on the link above. Not too much NHL game experience at all. I like the Ducks play.

Maybe I missed it if someone mentioned it above but Vancouver is no without Fitzpatrick for six weeks. Their D-men tonight should be Ohlund, Bieksa, Krajicek, Edler, Coloumbe and McIver.
:puke:
edit: oh, I see it mentioned two posts above.

Devils -1.5 goals +105 vs Blackhawks
I'll buy the goal to get the line on the plus side. Jersey should have no problem against the still injury depleted Hawks. And hey....Dave's on it! 1 unit

Yup....goaltending the difference. Lot's of chances both ways.
Looks like Boston made the wrong decision trading Raycroft and keeping Toivanen and Thomas.
Good for the Leafs though

Shouldn't have added the Jersey play right at game-time....looks like they're in a tight one. Everytime I add a game late, it seems to lose....gotta stop doing that. Oh well at least its the 1 unit play.
Columbus looking good though....4-2 lead

First three capped games are winning at least...
