So far this NHL season a group of my friends and myself have been betting against streaks and it's worked out pretty well. The only scare was really during that long Buffalo run which we picked up half way through and luckily Atlanta stopped that. So far our record is only 6-12 but we are up +9.10 units. After starting to post here at the start of season, I think now I've come to an understanding on exactly what these fourms are for and I figured I mise well get back here as it seems like a great community.

For tonight tryin to figure out what streak to wager on:

Ottawa (-140) @ Washington

Ottawa has lost 3 in a row at this point and have Washington tonight, with Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Boston coming up. Even though all teams are pretty much quality (maybe not boston), I don't see the Sens losing 7 in a row.

Dallas @ Vancouver (+110)

Pretty much the perfect scenerio right here as Dallas has won 3 in a row and Vancouver are losers of 3 straight. Dallas is playing their best hockey ever at the start of the season while Vancouver has had some tough breaks lately. The only thing is that with a man like Roberto Luongo in net who has the ability to steal a game, anything can happen.

Well, with the games being three hours apart, figure we mise well try to bag two today.

Ottawa (-140) @ Washington - 2.80 Units to Win 2.00

I am with you on the canucks here, Luongo makes your want to back the canucks, canucks have been without salo and mitchell, two top 3 defenceman on team. canucks have outplaying teams, outshooting them but men they just put the damn puck in. That reversal will change i hope it happens today.

Nader -- we can be homers. Have you noticed that in just about every game Luongo gets scored on by some fluke/lucky goal, or is it just me? Once that stops (and Vancouver finally gets some home games and plays some easier teams) I think the team will be fine.
