YTD 3-2-0 (+1.33 Units)

Took a break from NHL For a little while but making my return tonight as I like two games here.

4 * Anaheim Mighty Ducks v Pittsburgh Penguins - Anaheim to win @ $1.71

The Ducks have been in great form thus far this season. Espically at home where they are yet to be beaten in Normal time. Pittsburgh havent been too bad this season. Espically when playing away. With 2 Wins, 2 Draws and 1 Loss in normal time. However I lean to the Ducks for a variety of reason here. The Penguins havent beaten the Ducks at Anaheim for a while the last two games played in Anaheim between these two teams occured in the 02-03 season where the ducks blew out the Pens. Furthermore although the Pens are an improved team as many say they are I dont believe they have the ability to beat the better teams in the NHL which was clear in the San Jose lost. As a result they are yet to beat a team that is in the top 10 in the NHL. I dont think they will tonight either against a rather poweful ducks unit.

3 * Toronto Maple Leafs v Philadelphia Flyers - Toronto Maple Leafs to win @ $1.88

You dont have to be a NHL expert to know the Flyers are having a shocking season. With an away record of 1-0-5 and that win coming back at the start of the season. You can say with relative ease that the Flyers are stuffed. I believe Toronto is back now and better than ever which was shown in the 1-4 Win against Buffalo. I really believe in Torontos past few games (not including the Florida lost) they have shown some good results and have proved that they are a strong team in this competition - which is a strong contrast against the Flyers at the moment. I cant see the Flyers even getting this game near OT at all, I guess the only thing keeping the odds at a nice level for this game is Toronto's home record which is dreadful 1-4-3 (60 Mins) But as i said I believe this Toronto team has turned the corner and will come out to play and just dominate the Flyers.

Any Comments, Questions, Suggestions are always appreciated - Best of luck to everyone today.

Cheers,

GL with the plays....I like 'em, although I can't bet against the Crosby/Malkin show....too much of a chance either one could explode any game.

Leafs should beat the Flyers, we really get up for Flyers games....and yes, they are reeling.

Yeah I understand your feeling about Crosby/Malkin its a great combo to have on any team - I think the fixture the Penguins have had has been too easy thus far and perhaps it is misleading in the fact that they havent won against any strong teams thus far. Another concern about the game I believe is these two teams dont know each other well, which can make the game somewhat unpredictable in ways. To me when you look at it if the Ducks watched the way San Jose just shut down the Malkin/Crosby pair using tough physical play we could see the pair shut down once again. With that said it would be a rare sight to see Crosby/Malkin to remain pointless in 2 games in a row.

Good write ups, but if you saw the Pens game against SJ they blew a premature whistle taking a goal away from the Pens and had a horrible penalty call on the puck going into the bench that gave SJ a goal.

Yeah its hard to catch the games here as well - but I believe the bad calls went both ways as SJ had a goal waved off as well - also Cheechoo was ejected from the game as well (which would have somewhat changed the game) - Saw some highlights of the game and enjoyed the fact that Crosby got into a fight. Was good to see
