Cincys’ offense is not the explosive unit that they were last season. They rank 18th overall in Yards Per Game (YPG), and rank 24th in rushing yards per game. Their offensive line is banged up, and have given up 21 sacks this year. The Ravens defense has been susceptible against the pass the past two games, but I think they will correct that today. I like the match-up of the Ravens emerging run game against the Bengals 23rd ranked run defense. The Ravens win 24-14.
Trends
- Ravens 6-1 at home past 7 games
- Favorite is 4-1 ATS last 5 games
- Baltimore 10-5 ATS as a home favorite past 2 years.
Washington under 41
Washington’s offense didn’t fare well in week 2 against the Cowboys, and I don’t think much is going to change today. Washington’s big play receiver Santana Moss is out, and you can believe that the Cowboys will stack the box against Clinton Portis. On the flip side, the Redskins are finally healthy on defense and have both of their starting corner backs on the field together for the first time this year. That should help their 30th ranked pass defense. Tony Romo was impressive last week against the Panthers, but he is still an inexperienced Quarterback. This game has all the ingredients for a low scoring defensive battle. Cowboys win 17-13.
