Sorry Guys, I had to stay after school and this is the first chance that I’ve had to post today. Who do you like tonight..I like the Boise team…did you know that the NAACP or some group like that was against the blue field because there were birds flying into it thinking it was a lake…why would there be goal posts in a lake? Stupid birds…I think I’ll be playing the over 47 tonight…I can’t believe that I got this line last weekend when everyone else was looking at the last weeks games..or maybe someone will change my mind and I’ll play the under but if I play the under I’ll play it using the actual lines from today which is around 58 or something like that…boy…this Mountain Dew gets to you after a while LOL..I like the red one, but the green one is good also…wait a minute, I like the red mountain dew and the Fresno State team is Red…coincidence? Louisville VS West Virginia

Have you ever handicapped backwards? By this I mean, you already know who you like, and now you start your homework proving that your choice is the correct one. Going into this write up I loved Louisville tonight. They have a great passing attack, Home-Field advantage, Brian Brohm back for his third game from thumb surgery and the Cardinals are ranked 8th in the nation against the rush. Add to this West Virginia has virtually no pass rush, and almost no deep passing threats, so falling behind will make it almost impossible for the Mountaineers to catch up, and the Cardinals have a 15 game home winning streak.

Other ramblings to consider. How will the cold weather (high 30’s) effect Brohm’s thumb and his ability to throw the ball? Louisville’s three losses last year came at South Florida, Virginia Tech and West Virginia, all with running - mobile quarterbacks and they were lucky to get past Cincinnati two weeks ago with mobile QB Dustin Grutza. Winds expected to be in the 15-20 mph range, could affect both the passing and kicking game. The last time we had a similar match up, (albeit a larger scale) we saw Vince Young take down USC last January. Pat White has the ability to do the same tonight.

What will happen…Louisville has been practicing with receivers lining up at quarterback in an attempt to simulate White’s ability. Pat White is not a very good pocket passer, expect Louisville to put 8 in the box and assign someone specifically to White. On offense, Louisville will be able to score early and often, and as stated earlier West Virginia is not a team that can play catch up.
