1. Connecticut vs. Rutgers -20
Pick: Rutgers -20 5 units
I have a very strong opinion on tonight's Connecticut/Rutgers match up. With Connecticut having a down season with their wins coming against Rhode Island, Indiana, and Army. I feel they will be crushed by the 7-0 Scarlet Knights of Rutgers tonight. First of all the Huskies offense will be totally shutdown by a Rutgers defense that ranks second in the nation in total defense, third in scoring defense, and 12th in rushing defense. In their last game on the road against a solid Pittsburgh offense Rutgers held the Panthers to just 237 yards of total offense. Plus in their last road game against an average South Florida defense the Huskies were limited to just 261 yards in total offense. So you can see why Rutgers will dominate them defensively tonight. While offensively I look for Rutgers led by running back Ray Rice who rushed for 225 yards against Pittsburgh to light up the scoreboard here against a Connecticut defense that is giving up 189 rushing yards a game. Lay the high number as the Scarlet Knights blow away Connecticut tonight.
